We already have a Tanita body composition scales at another property but I wanted to make sure my readings were staying ok and also I was interested to see if they gave me similar readings but setting up a new account with this one on a different phone. These ones are very smart and easier to use than the hand held ones ( 454?) AND gave very similar measurements which was reassuring My only problem was setting up as I could not get it to pair with my phone. But an eventual Google helped me Find out that on the Tanita App setting, for some reason, the Bluetooth setting was off even though all was turned on in the main settings. So once I turned the app Bluetooth setting on, it paired easily I think it is brilliant.

Had these scales for years and years, maybe even close to 7 years. I’m obsessed, so easy to use and they look very smart. My personal trainer used them to track my progress so I got them too and I’m really happy with them. I love how I get all my stats like BMI, body fat %, water %, ect all on my phone so I can easily follow how I’m getting on.

Just what I was looking for

Why oh why is creating a Bluetooth digital weighing scale so difficult. On receiving the scales, my phone and scale connected seamlessly and within 2 minutes I had my first reading.... fast forward 24 hours and the scale is no longer connected... and after 30 minutes of messing around I managed to install the device again which meant losing the first set of measurements. It would appear that you have to reconnect every time you use them, but it isn’t even as easy as that as they can’t find each other despite placing the phone on the scales. Another issue is that I have dropped 4% on the fat measurement which is great to see but after a life time of being around 19-20% fat, I am suddenly 16% I think they are going to have to go back ... Stop press; We have got them working... not sure how, but we did it. The fat percentage seems to fluctuate but I am more confident that it is correct so the jury is out on the scales but decided to keep them!

I decided to bite the bullet and buy these very expensive scales after failing to find a cheaper set that were accurate enough for my needs. If you have smaller feet or good balance the smaller Tanita scales at £100 less are much better value but I could't balance on them myself. Tanita have recently improved the bluetooth connection so they now connect when I open the app, rather than struggling to connect each time I use them. The design is pretty awful and could do with losing the shiny bits, but the amount of data from these scales is superb. Data shows on the scales and on the app initially. They’re said to be within 5% of a DEXA scan. but I have found they have a fault - very misleading hydration level reading , that doesn’t budge much from 37% even though I drink 2 litres of water a day and increasingly odd readings after 9 months of use. These appear to be defective and are going back under guarantee. The app has come in for a lot of deserved criticism and I hope Tanita simplifies the app and takes on that people want a true digital scale. Much of the information is in the app but you have to look at each metric separately to see the data, and it is not connected directly to the initial measurement but on separate pages, which compares current data and shows a graph of changes which do not have data points. To get the best info from these you have to print or save a PDF file which gives a lot more data including fat, water and muscle in both % and kilos. Tanita should rewrite this app, incorporate all the available data in the app, and make it easier to access. They are hideously expensive and I hoped for better from Tanita. I need more accurate scales wish I knew if I can risk another Tanita set.

Disappointed the scales are stuck in set up mode after an hour of trying to reset the scales and reconnect via Bluetooth I watched YouTube videos chat gbt and followed the user manual and can only put it down to a hardware fault.

Die umfangreichen Informationen können sowohl vom Display abgelesen werden als auch über Bluetooth an die firmeneigene App übertragen werden. In der App wird die komplette Historie übersichtlich abgespeichert. Die Messungen erfolgen tatsächlich und werden NICHT aufgrund des Gewichts aus Tabellen ausgelesen. Für bis zu 4 Personen können Profile hinterlegt werden. Ist das Gewicht nicht sehr ähnlich erkennt die Waage automatisch den Nutzer, ich starte allerdings immer über die App. Ist zwar etwas teurer als viele andere Körperfettwaagen, dafür hält sie auch was sie verspricht.

Zeer mooi design en heel makkelijk te bedienen, nooit gedacht dat een weegschaal zoveel informatie kon verschaffen over je lichaam. Ik vindt dit een geweldige weegschaal niet de goedkoopste maar toch zeer kwalitatief.

producto con estilo, un funcionamiento intuitivo y muy precisa. El manual es online però se encuentra facil y esta clarisimo. los pasos a seguir para configurar la bascula y el profilo son sencillos y en 10 minutos esta echo. si te pesas segun las instrucciones no hay desviaciones relevantes entre medidas, yo probè una 10 en momentos diferentes del dia y varìan de muy poco. El precio es alto , si buscas algo de calidad y precision, otros producto no te dan lo mismo.
