Like Pat I look at fungi spores. I find I do not need to use the x100 oil objective to see some surface detail on spores. I have never observed spores as small as Pat as mine are more like 6 to 13µm (I have a calibration slide) and I have no difficulty in seeing detail and even taking photographs through the eyepiece. A lot depends on good adjustment of the illumination optics to provide good contrast. Using various stains may help.

you can only plug in the apex grab camera into the computer. The Apex grab camera fits the microscope but comes sepaparately.

Q: can see demodex mites easy?

Haven't the faintest, but if they are there it probably will. A very well made instrument and excellent value for money, I would highly recommend it as a solid basic microscope for a science student, that will cope with most things.

Q: does this unit use only 240V or can I use 120V as well?
