Retro-Brite (Sole Sauce) : Restores Yellowed Plastic (16oz)

Purchased to try and recover some yellowed plastic cases on old computers, following other people's posts on the Internet. And it really does work! In use, you DO need a good sunny day to expose the plastic item(s) to bright sunshine, once you brush on a light coating of RetroBrite. Then leave for several hours (I left a set of keyboard key tops out all day). The key tops I put in a clear bag, larger items I covered in clingfilm. After, rinse well and wash in warm soapy water.

My white plastic bath had yellowed where the hot tap had leaked unnoticed for a few days. Conventional bathroom cleaners would not remove the yellow stain. Retro-Brite restored the white finish and ment a costly replacement of the bath was not needed.

Hmmmmm, yes, it works........just. In fairness, there was an improvement in the yellowing of the shower walls in our static caravan but tbh, not enough of a difference to make the hassle worth while. Wont bother again.

Does not perform well, bought for my shower tray, the process says it needs UV or sunlight, my bathroom doesn't have either

Many years ago, when they first came out, I got one of those 5-plug remote switches, where I can control all 5 lamps in my great room right from my recliner. I thought I'd have to toss it even though it still works because the plastic 5-button remote control had turned an unsightly yellow, which made it look embarrassingly dirty. But I brushed on a generous coat of this gel, sat it out in direct sunlight for 2 hours, and now the plastic is gleaming white! So impressed. I hate replacing things that still work; and I have plenty of gel left in the bottle. Guess it's time to go on a treasure hunt through my closets and junk drawers! :)

This is by far the best product for restoring old and sun-damaged LEGOs. Put some parts in a freezer bag, spray some of this glorious mixture in there and put it in the sunshine for a half a day. Some of my 20+ year old parts look the same as parts I ordered last month after this treatment. I'm pretty amazed!

Bought this for restoring some older retro computer and electronics plastics that had yellowed with age. It definitely made a noticeable difference and brought the plastic much closer to its original colour. It does take a bit of time and preparation to get good results, so don’t expect an instant wipe-on fix, but used properly it works well. Particularly useful if you restore old computers, consoles or other vintage electronics. Good product and I’ll be using it again on more of my retro gear.
