Top quality and protection
I’ve been a loyal OtterBox user for years, outfitting every iPhone and iPad I’ve owned with their Defender series cases. They’ve always delivered top-tier rugged protection, and I’ve been completely satisfied with the build quality and — most importantly — their outstanding customer support.I bought this Defender case for my iPad 10th generation about three years ago, and it has held up incredibly well through daily use, drops, and travel. The multi-layer design (hard shell + outer slipcover + port covers) has kept my iPad scratch-free and safe, and the overall protection is still as reliable as day one.The only issue I’ve encountered is with the built-in tilt-adjusting stand mechanism. After three years of regular use (adjusting it frequently for viewing and typing), two of the little plastic nubs that help lock the stand into position finally broke off. It was disappointing, as the stand no longer holds securely in certain angles. That said, OtterBox’s customer service stepped up as they always do. I submitted a warranty claim, and they promptly replaced the entire case at no cost for the product itself — I only paid $12.99 for shipping. No hassle, quick turnaround, and they honored their commitment even after three years.Overall, this is still one of the best rugged cases you can get for the iPad 10th gen. The minor stand wear is something I’ve seen mentioned in a few other reviews over time, but the protection and peace of mind (plus their willingness to replace it) make it well worth it. Highly recommend for anyone who needs serious drop and dirt protection — just be aware the stand components may eventually need that warranty love after heavy, long-term use.Would buy again? Yes — and I’d happily go through the warranty process if needed.

Best case ever
Otterbox defender is my go to. Always protective, snug, won’t scratch tables. Very easy to put on. Extremely protective

Protected an iPad run over by multiple cars!
I put a slightly older version of this on my son’s iPad a couple years ago along with a decent glass screen protector. (I knew my son would probably be rough with the iPad.) Then a couple weeks ago, a family member accidentally set my son’s iPad down on top of his car, forgot it was there, and drove away. By the time he realized his mistake, the iPad had fallen off and had been directly run over by multiple cars. We assumed the iPad would be toast. But to my great surprise, the only thing broken was the screen protector and the front cover part of the Otterbox case (which had only minimal crack damage). The actual iPad was completely fine - no damage at all, and it works perfectly! Needless to say, I bought a new Otterbox Defender iPad case to replace the old one. That was pretty much the ultimate test of its strength, and it passed with flying colors. Buy this case - it’s awesome and crazy strong!

Protects like crazy when you have fumble fingers
I'm a customer for life. All of my mobile tech gear has these cases. My devices have survived multiple drops onto concrete, rocks, etc. I don't often use the hard plastic clamshell piece. I just use the rubberized "skin" that wraps the device.

Don’t waste your money. No protection and glue will get all over the device
This is not a good case, it says it has shock absorption but upon receiving I realize I have had defender series in the past and they are useless, I can’t say that about this exact iPad version yet because I haven’t even attached it but the hard plastic is on the inside and a super thin rubber exterior. Defeats the purpose if the side that can protect it is in the exterior not protecting the device. The commuter series they make for phones is the only good product that OtterBox makes. I mistakenly purchased this thinking it was the latter. Commuter series actually offers protection because the rub is directly on the device preventing shock from penetrating. Also this case had a plastic piece attached to the case that isn’t listed in the description, the box instructions also don’t mention this but on the front in small writing it says that it’s a screen shield but otherwise there’s no mention of this. Thinking that it was just a prop to keep the box from caving in I removed it because it was supposed to just be a case not a cover. Now there’s a glue strip around the entire case that makes it unusable because i don’t want glue on my brand new tablet. It’s not a good “screen cover/shield” either. It’s very flimsy and popped right out. The glue is super sticky but the plastic sheet is just that. It doesn’t offer any type of protection. Complete waste of money since I now can’t even put my tablet inside unless i want glue all over it. I’ve been trying to clean it with rubbing alcohol for 25 minutes.

Great care
Oddly enough we have purchased this case for 3 devices and 2 did not come with built in screen protectors but one did, they’re the same case with that one minor difference - even the boxes said all the same things. The cases overall are still great and hold up well against our neurodivergent kids and all the heck they put iPads through. The ones without a screen protector are much easier to clean but I worry less about scratches on that one. I think it’s typically fairly priced (though I would recommend letting it sit in the cart and tracking prices for a week just in case).

Solid Protection
I’ve been using Otter Box products for years to protect my cell phones. Their quality, warranty and reputation is well established and best in class. Otter’s customer service is fantastic too. This is my first time using an Otter Box for a tablet (iPad 10 Gen), and I have to say that I am very impressed so far.Pros: The case totally encapsulates the device which provides protection against dust, spills and splatters. Otter is well known for their drop protection too, so that’s a huge plus. The dust cover for the charging port is a nice feature as well. There is also a slot to securely store an Apple Pencil with the device.Cons: This particular case does add bulk and weight to the device – much more so than other standard cases – especially if you are using both hard shells together. The adjustable “slide” to set the different viewing angles on the cover/stand is a bit difficult to use with one hand, but can be done with some finesse.Bottom line: If you are looking for top-tier protection for your device, this is the case for you. For those with young children, this case would be an excellent choice. If bulk and weight is a concern for you though, consider another product – Otter Box does have some other choices to consider if brand name and Otter quality is important to you.For me: This is a 5-STAR product that I highly recommend.

Buying used worked well for me!
It was a great deal buying it used and of course, I dropped it already and it endured!

Case + loose screen protector
This is a big case. but it is pointlessly over complicated and cheap materials used. The description on Amazon only points towards it being a case but it is actually as case + screen protector, but the screen protector is fixed to the case, not the iPad, so it bulges and would trap dust between the screen and protector, so this is really a poor design that is exaggerated by very poor materials. From the iPad's perspective it might not provide the best protection when it comes to dust or debris getting between the iPad and the case: as mentioned the screen protector bulges away from the screen and the interface between the iPad and the case is hard plastic (except hor the rear of the iPad where some membrane is present).

Protegge al meglio, anche se non è proprio semplice da montare.
Ottimo prodotto, multi layaer, con vetro di protezione integrato offre una sicurezza di livello superiore ad ogni altra cover "tradizionale".

Keeps you safe!

Great protection when paired with tempered glass for screen
I paired this with tempered glass protectors suggested with purchase (JETech?) for my new A16 iPad and it has held up well, and is the best suited for customers or gift recipients who have ataxia (poor motor coordination due to neurological disorders) or clumsiness, epilepsy, transient ischemic attacks (TIA’s/“mini strokes”) and/or narcolepsy.
