Thera Cane Deep Pressure Massager - The Original - Since 1988

Stick arrived earlier than expected. Far too much packaging though. Ive only been using it a day or two but so far to say I'm impressed is an understatement.I've suffered with back and neck problem for what seems like forever. My neck was so bad that i found it difficult to look to the ceiling without feeling pain and tension. Ive always had knots in my shoulders and back and find it difficult to relax. I carry a lot of stress in my back and shoulders. Ive had numerous sports and deep tissue massages which have helped somewhat but are far too expensive to become regular. I was initially hesitant to buy the theracane because it looked gimmicky and rather expensive but after reading the reviews i managed to convince myself that it would be worth a try. ( i figured i could send it back if i found it ineffective 😉) I'm sooo glad i ordered it. So far I've only used the large knob at the end of the curve but that has helped to release the knots in my shoulders and neck. I was shocked to feel the range of motion in my neck after using and for the first time could look up without pain. It does feel very uncomfortable to the point of being painful but you also feel all the tension leaving. Its a strange sensation that travels up to your head which feels sort of tingling. It literally feels like the pressure you have in your head ( that you didn't even know was there) is being lifted. You are left with a feeling of deep relaxation and well being. I found myself being less uptight and my sense of humour returned. All this after the first use. Another strange side effect of using this is that my vocabulary seems to have improved and I'm no longer struggling to find the right words. ( maybe it helps with memory??) I feel much more positive about life in general and look forward to using this daily to unlock and unblock my capabilities ( and of course my knots)The instuctions are very helpful as not only do they show you how to use the tool but also show the various trigger points. I found that if i press a certain point in my shoulder blades the pain radiates and eventually releases my neck further.I have managed to loosen the knots in my back and can now feel them move under pressure instead of being rock hard.I'm enjoying the massaging results of my upper back and neck so much that i haven't yet moved down to my lower back. I'll update on that as i progress.I think this tool would be even more effective after a hot bath when muscles are more supple. I intend to take mine to the sauna and use it there. Cant wait.

I have had a bad back for years and on and off have been to see chiropractors about it and a lot of time they are great help and sort out my problems. However between visits occasionally I will have a flare up and in the past I could only really deal with this pain through pain relief. I have Brought previously a back roller to try and help however this is only good for the upper back and even then requires quite a lot of core strength to use.I stumbled across the theracane watching a video looking behind the scenes on broadway and saw an actor using it. I went onto amazon found this a brought it. All I can say is it amazing! it is so easy to use. Mine did come with a little booklet but there is a great 25 minute video on youtube showing you a lot of exercises that you can do. Now whenever my back flares up I am able to self massage and get the pain under control. It is so easy to control the position and pressure of the force you are applying to your back yourself!The build quality of the product is very good. Although it is made of plastic it is very strong plastic and has a reassuring amount of weight to it. I have seen some reviews on here from other Theracane nock offs that there are holding seams but this has none of that.Overall impressions of the product are very good and well worth it if you have any pains in your body.

Had a look at all this products reviews before deciding to purchase it.It came 3 days earlier than expected...thumbs up,and well packaged and protected.I have slight arthritis on one of my shoulders,and have quite a bit of tension in between my shoulder blades.These in turn would tend to get sore with a burning or pins and needles sensation.For me this is a great product,very well designed for you to use in the comfort of your own home either standing sitting or lying down.You can self massage your neck,shoulders,upper back,lower back,arms legs,and even your feet.It comes with an instruction manual designed to help you with the trigger points.It also gives you some nice stretches...(sum of which i was given to by my physiotherapist).I can see why some reviewers found it strangely addictive,although it does state in the manual to go easy initially,or you will have some tenderness.For me i found this product really easy to use,really innovative design,it gets the parts you cant reach with ease.After its use i can feel a sense of increased blood flow,and i must say its a very pleasant sensation.Cant wait for my next session!!Great product and well worth the money.

I was sceptical that this could ease the pain in my neck, back and shoulders when my fibromyalgia flares up, but oh boy does it work! I used to do deep muscle massage to help my husbands back problems, by pressing on the muscles it releases the tension and helps the muscles to relax and loosen. The Theracane works in exactly the same way. I watched it being demonstrated on YouTube, and then tried it. It's not just a quick fix, I used it once a day on my painful muscles, and I could gradually feel the muscles relaxing, and the pain subsided. The relief it gives me is incredible. I would recommend it to anyone with tight muscles- but do speak to your GP first.

I saw this Thera Cane recommended on a YouTube video regarding massaging trigger points to relieve chronic pain.I was very impressed by the huge majority of positive reviews on Amazon - especially the ones where people say it cured long term pain - it sounded too good to be true - but something I had to try!I have used it on several occasions now - sometimes just to massage tight muscles - upper back, lower back, shoulder and neck - it is quite easy to use once you get used to it; it is very light and easy to manoeuvre to find the 'trigger points'.A couple of weeks ago I woke up with a really painful shoulder and neck - the type which usually takes at least a few days to heal. I decided to give the Theracane a try - it didn't take long to find the trigger point, I could actually feel it easing the muscle. I didn't think much more about it... until later in the afternoon when I found myself unexpectedly painting my shed (!!) - and my neck and shoulder felt fine! This is when I realized how effective the Thera Cane had been!I actually bought it because I have a damaged coccyx and am unable to sit down... As it is a difficult condition to treat and I do not want to cause any more pain in this area, I have only used the Thera Cane lightly around my spine and lower back. The coccydinia pain, so far, remains the same - but that is probably because my coccyx is dislocated. Hopefully it will help in time to relax the muscles and maybe my coccyx will go back to where it should be! I can hope.Overall though, I definitely highly recommend the Thera Cane!!

I couldn't wait for the arrival of my Theracane today. Eventually it arrived at 6pm this evening and after experimenting with the shoulder techniques for 20 mins or so I felt like I'd had a professional deep tissue massage. I followed the massage with a long soak in the bath and felt really relaxed. I've been suffering from pain in three areas in my left shoulder all winter and tried anti-inflammatory gel, rolling awkwardly on various sized balls and visiting the chiropractor but none of those things compared to the virtues of the Theracane. The small balls on the ends of this gadget really get deep into those difficult to reach places and because you know exactly where the painful spots are you can easily get right on the affected parts with just the right amount of pressure, unlike when you have to ask someone else to massage those areas on your behalf. I don't normally write extended reviews on my purchases but this one is worthy of a positive report. Hopefully with regular use those troublesome trigger points will soon be a thing of the past!

I received my Theracane yesterday, and after peering at it curiously from all angles, I thought I better read the booklet, and start using it!I must say, I DON'T WANT TO PUT IT DOWN! (Even though this is a big no no!). So far so good, and I've not had any soreness from over use lol.Initially, it seemed bigger than I thought, but once I handled it, it was fine. It is light, and true to form, I can reach just about any spot on my body with it, with ease! No more waiting for my husband to come home and press the back of my head, or massage my tight shoulders or sore SI's! It's so much easier now, and I can prod all those nasty painful trigger myself without mimicking a contortionist! I highly recommend buying one for yourself.I suffer with Arthritis in my neck and back, and have chronic Mysofacial pain.I have (unknown to me!), been instinctively massaging the sore spots around my back and neck for some time now....However, it wasn't until my neck pain and migraines took over my life that I started looking online for a self treatment. Medication masks the problem, and makes me feel very unwell!I came across a piece on 'trigger points', and there was a mention of this book: The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment for Pain Relief, which I promptly bought! (I highly recommend this!). I also have the book: Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome: A Survival Manual, which has some very good advice.

Having used a colleague's Theracane at work for the past couple of years I finally decided to buy my own.This new Theracane is identical in appearance, but far more flexible. As such it is incredibly difficult and a lot of effort to get the required pressure, as half of your effort goes into bending the device rather than pressing on the desired trigger point.I was torn between returning it for a refund or not due to this, but decided to keep it as I think I will get some use out of it. I contacted Theracane directly to enquire as to why this was the case, and was told they were actually using newer stronger materials, although I can't see why they would compromise on the flex unless this new stronger material was substantially cheaper!This is no reflection on the supplier, they delivered the goods promptly.

Infatti è fondamentale non solo il materiale con cui è fatto il bastone, ma anche le dimensione delle "punte" arrotondate. Questo bastone, oltre ad essere fatto di un ottimo materiale che dà subito l'impressione di solidità, ha il giusto grado di flessibilità. Può sembrare ininfluente, invece quando andrete a massaggiare i vari trigger point sulla schiena, se il bastone non "cede" quel giusto, ci farete male.Il bastone arriva con un pieghevole con indicati i trigger point e degli esempi di utilizzo nei vari punti del corpo, ma secondo me è da cestinare. Infatti per chi non vuole farsi male consiglio il libro di Davies, il manuale della terapia dei trigger point. In questo libro troverete una mappa sia dei trigger point e soprattutto come va fatto l'auto massaggio senza farsi del male

J'étais un peu réservée à cause du prix mais la canne est conforme, solide et très pratique à utiliser. Moi qui souffre régulièrement de contractures et de torticolis et qui devais me contorsionner pour me masser le dos, je ne pourrai plus m'en passer ! Bref, ce n'est pas un gadget, c'est un investissement.

I liked the Thera cane - it needs some practiseut works well when you get used to it
