Coming from the old Arctic Silver products, this stuff is a pain to spread, so I quite trying and just add the usual "X" shaped application and it's worked great when compressed. Temps are always competitively low.

Works extremely well. I replaced a 95-watt TDP 6-core Xeon with a faster 130-watt TDP 6-core Xeon. Idle temp is about 5° C over ambient with the stock heatsink and the CPU fan at 0 RPM. If you're old-school, please note that this paste cannot be spread across the top of the CPU package using a spatula or razor blade like with previous generation pastes, as it will just ball up and make a mess. Note the instruction URL on the box. I used the X pattern as suggested. Note that if you choose to use the cleaning cloths it's best done in a well-ventilated space, or even outside, using gloves. The cloths are very pungent and the smell lingers. I'm very satisfied with the MX-6 product.

This is one of the best thermal pastes I’ve used. Application is smooth and precise with the included applicator, and it spreads evenly. The cooling performance is great — I noticed a drop in CPU temperatures almost immediately. What really impressed me was the included cleaner — very effective at removing old paste cleanly without damaging components. If you’re doing a PC build or upgrade, this kit is a no-brainer. Great value and performance.

Replaced my cpu and bought this thermal paste for my new cpu. Works great and easy application. Before putting away my old one, the wipes cleaned up the old thermal paste great. Have not had any heating issues with my cpu and temps are running normal. Good thermal paste.

People that complain about the smell must not be able to read. It literally tells you in the listing. Also it just smells slightly like a citrus cleaner. If you can't handle that you might need help. The thermal paste is great but slightly thick compared to other brands. So it makes it a little harder to spread if you like doing that but just know you don't have to spread it for it to work.

I used Arctic MX-6 to repaste the CPU and GPU on my HP Victus gaming laptop, and overall the results were excellent. Before the repaste, my laptop would overheat and even shut down during heavy workloads like Microsoft Flight Simulator. After applying MX-6, temperatures dropped a lot: • CPU temps stayed well below throttling • GPU temps became very stable • No more shutdowns during long gaming sessions One important thing to note: The paste is very thick and the first bit that comes out of the tube can feel dry and stringy. I recommend discarding the first small amount and then using the paste that comes out after — it becomes smooth and works perfectly. Once applied (pea/ball method), it spreads well under pressure and performs as expected. The paste is non-conductive and feels high quality. Overall, great thermal performance, especially for laptops, just be aware of the thick consistency at first.

works good temps down 4c . just know the chemical on the wipes are very strong smelling . so dont throw them in your trash can inside your house . bring it out to the dumpster .

The MX-6 thermal paste performs very well in heat transfer and paste application. Temperature drops were noticed immediately under load and re pasting the CPU was very simple as the paste has a slightly higher viscosity compared to MX-4. Spreading the paste for full coverage was fairly simple and quick. The MX cleaning wipes are a double edge sword compared to iso propyl alcohol. While it does a great job breaking down the old paste for clean up, it also makes the paste very runny. It does not affect any clean up per se but it does get a little messy and stain a lot of things like automotive anti seize. Finally as noted by many people in the review section, the odor of the cleaner is definitely strong. I highly recommend this job be done somewhere ventilated and throw the wipes directly in the outside trash can.

Ich habe die Paste genau so aufgetragen und meine Temperaturen sind absolut top: ✔ Idle: 35 - 40°C ✔ Gaming: 40 - 60°C ✔ 3DMark/FurMark/Prime95 Stresstest: Unter 80°C Das zeigt, dass die Wärmeübertragung einwandfrei funktioniert und die Paste perfekt aufgetragen wurde. --Reinigungstücher - Effektiv, aber geruchsintensiv-- Die mitgelieferten MX Cleaner Tücher haben ihre Aufgabe gut erledigt: Sie entfernen alte Wärmeleitpaste problemlos und hinterlassen eine saubere, fettfreie Oberfläche. Ja, sie haben einen starken chemischen Geruch, aber das ist normal für alkoholbasierte Reinigungstücher.
