If you're looking for a non-screen way to keep a restless kid busy during travel, this Magnetic Scenes Set is a fantastic find. We picked up the mermaid scene for my six-year-old, and it has been a game-changer for car trips and even waiting rooms. Our Experience: The core concept is brilliant: a compact, sturdy box with a neat storage drawer underneath that holds all 50+ magnetic pieces. This feature alone is worth the price, as the clean-up is instant—just slide the magnets into the drawer and close the lid. It’s perfect for travel; it fits easily on a lap or tray table, and my daughter loves creating imaginative stories with the different elements. It definitely kept her entertained for hours! However, after a few weeks of consistent use, we did run into a few minor issues. I wish it came with more than two canvases; while the two included backdrops are colorful and fun, a third or fourth scene would really extend the creative life of the set. Also, you have to be careful when moving the box, because the magnets slide off easier than you’d think. The biggest downside we found was the durability of the magnets themselves. The magnetic pieces with thinner sections (like the neck of a mermaid) started tearing. Just make sure younger toddlers (2yrs) don't mess with it too much! Overall, it's a great concept and highly entertaining for my 6-year-old, but future versions could definitely use more durable magnets and backdrops. Good travel for kids.

Had a ball playing with this for hours with my newly birthday 4 year old ! Great for any age that will not chew on magnets. Have a parent pop magnets out is only issue they will break if child is prepping the magnet sheets . We own a few from this brand and we love it !
