- Mini Praxis Folding Pocket Knife, 2.98" D2 Steel Blade, Black

This knife was quite sharp when it arrived and has held it's edge since I got it. the blade is real Damascus and not just laser etched, and the wooden scales of the comfortable handle are high quality and finished smoothly enough that they could be mistaken for plastic. The knife flips open easily and smoothly with a satisfying little "snick" sound that lets you know that it's locked into place. It seems sturdy enough that I haven't noticed any looseness in the hinge or clip. This classy little knife has become my EDC, I like it a lot. There is one thing different about it in that the clip is mounted on the opposite end of the handle from other knives I own, that's not a knock on the knife, I just noticed the difference. With it's reasonable price, you can't go wrong.

This is a really cool knife. I bought a couple of Civivi knives a couple of years ago and was largely unimpressed. It may be up to personal preference, but I like my flipper knives to fully spring open when I flip it. The last couple of Civivi's I purchased fell short of that. This one does not. It springs open fast with a satisfying click. Beyond that, this knife feels very good in my hand. I don't know how large the regular Praxis is, but I feel like this is just about perfect for a EDC pocket knife in terms of size and how it feels when holding. The gimping and finger cutouts makes it feel secure. It came very sharp, which is a plus. The finish in the particular version I bought is very nice. And I like the look of the satin finish with the clear yellow ultem handle. The ultem handle also makes this knife very light, which is easy to carry either clipped or in a pocket. Overall, I'm very impressed. I can't yet speak to its durability, but I think it's safe to say that for the price, this is a fantastic knife.

I'm not a huge knife aficionado, but have owned enough knives over the years to know what I like and what I want from a good utility EDC knife. Sharp, comfortable to hold, light, easy to deploy and confident in the sturdiness. For this price point, I don't know what else you would want - it's all of those things. Love the flip open with one hand, how firmly it locks into place, the way it fits in your hand, the textured finish and the blade sharpness right out of the box - so easy to maintain with a simple ceramic sharpening tool like the Sharpal. Recommended without hesitation.

Very high quality knife. Came shaving sharp and has held edge very well so far. Feels rock solid and is comfortable to hold, carries well and i like the deep pocket clip. Loses 1 star because the knife doesnt flip open consistently without extra assistance. A bearing assist should get the job done without needing a wrist flick too. I bought 2 of these and can confirm its an issue with both. Overall a solid work knife that is easy to use and carry.

I have carried the discontinued Leatherman C33 for many years. While this knife doesn't have the bottle opener, it more than makes up for it with fit and finish. Everything is very smooth on this knife--the handle has small serrations that don't catch on anything in your pocket but provide enough etch for your hand to grasp firmly. It came with a very sharp blade. It opens with a flick, very quickly. It's a very well designed and functional knife. I did have to get used to the way it goes in my pocket, which is upside down (compared to C33) so that when drawn it is ready to flick open with your index finger. I've tried several different knives since the C33 (Milwaukee, Klein electrician's knife, and others) but this is the best buy far. Not too bulky but big enough that it can do real work. I really like it. I did have one mishap when working something caught on the clip and bent it so that it wasn't clamping to my pocket--I had to remove the 2 small Torx screws and bend the clip back. That wasn't really the knive's fault. I will buy again when eventually this one is lost. Noticeably higher quality than the run of the mill knife, a bit higher in price too, but well worth it. Last item is I unfortunately sometimes use the tip of my knife blade for prying--this one seems to be robust in this area and while of course not recommended, no issues like the tip of the blade breaking off.

Sweet. Very nice ergonomics. It flips open very easily and it appears to be well made. I wear a large glove and this knife feels very good in my hand, despite its compact size, especially, if I use the choil cut into the blade. I bought this knife as a novelty. Whenever I look on Amazon for Firebird Ganzo and Spyderco knives, I would see knives from Civivi. This knife in particular has always appealed to me, so I finally broke down and ordered one in black. The last thing I needed was another pocket knife. But after receiving this knife, handling it, and giving it a couple drops of good knife oil, I have immediately ordered another one in green. This knife is not going to replace my Spyderco dragonfly 2 as my favorite EDC knife, but I am positive, at times I will carry it. One of the reasons I delayed purchasing one of these knives is that I hate liner locks. The idea of a lock that puts your finger in the path of the blade when you start to close it has never seemed very smart to me. However, this one works so well, that I actually like it on this knife. That is saying a lot for me about how impressed I am with this knife, particularly since it is so sharp, I used it to slice up the receipt from my dinner right out of the box. Even as I sit here doing this review, I can’t stop fidgeting with this knife. It is so sweet, I guess I’ll just have to be careful and enjoy this knife the way it is. I saw some of the other reviews where some people had problems with corrosion on the blades of this knives D2 steel. Thanks to these reviews, I’ve already put a thin coat of quality gun oil on its blade and moving parts. Time will tell how corrosion resistant and durable this knife proves to be. Thanks a lot Civivi! Now it looks like I’m going to have to spring for one of the other Civivi knives I have been admiring (Mini Elementium Flipper). Hopefully, I’ll have the self discipline to wait until next month.

This is a beautiful, knife. Sharp, you could shave; I purchased a separate case but it has a good pocket clip this is a “flipper “ Quickly opens, anyone purchasing this will see quality. Of course it closes fast. So I say this always, watch your finger/hand placement. It’s very light. I have another civii knife and their razor knife. The translucent color is simply beautiful. And I know they would resolve any issues. Thank you. It doesn’t come with lanyard. I added it.

Cachas. Son lo más controversial, pues es un material que no se había usado anteriormente en esta aplicación. La verdad no se siente como un plástico común, son más resistentes y densas, pero aún así ligeras. Me encanta que sean traslúcidas, se ve padrísimo el esqueleto de la navaja y se iluminan muy bien las cachas cuando les da la luz. Las líneas le dan tracción suficiente. A mi me gustan, y creo que el ultem es una buena alternativa al tradicional G10 o la micarta. Navaja. Forma súper funcional, con buena panza y excelente punta. La cremallera es suficiente y tiene buena tracción, pero no lastima. La mella para el dedo es cómoda, y puede ser funcional dependiendo de cómo quieras hacer tus cortes. Ayuda bastante para afilar completamente la superficie del bisel. El acero está muy bien trabajado, su superficie es muy lisa, por lo que no colecciona agua o basura. Mantiene el filo bastante bien, y a mi no se me hace difícil de afilar. El único detalle es que pierde rápidamente la capacidad de rasurar, pero mantiene un filo bastante funcional por mucho tiempo/uso. Otros: clip excelente, tamaño perfecto para EDC, peso perfecto para EDC, acción deliciosamente suave y rápida, cerrojo sólido y preciso. Precio bastante justo. Conclusión: aunque tuve una Spyderco y me gustaba, la verdad civivi y qsp se han vuelto mis favoritas. No veo por qué pagar tanto por navajas de 8cr13mov cuando puedes tener mejores aceros y materiales de cachas, así como una manufactura equivalente.

De las navajas que he probado, esta se ha vuelto mi favorita y no salgo de casa sin ella. Es muy versátil para el tamaño que tiene. Viene filosa desde el empaque. La calidad percibida en la mano es increíble. Definitivamente debes comprarla.
