Reliable quality. Slightly thicker than the others I've bought on Amazon.
I have ordered 3 different brands of these 8 oz black metals tins thinking that they were all going to be basically the same, but they aren't. Of the 3 I have tried out, these are the thickest and the easiest to wick. 3.15" diameter tins are a pain to wick. I can use an ECO 12 and sometimes a CD 12 or an ECO 10 with good results. The thinner types got way too hot too fast and a messy ring formed along the edges of the tin after the first burn. Long story short, (too late, I know), it is worth the few extra dollars to get these slightly heavier weight tins if you want consistency in the quality of the burn. Occasionally there is a slight dent in a tin near the very bottom of the vessel but let's be realistic. Shippers are none too careful with our purchases and we are going to lose a few in the bargain with convenience.
