So useful! Well packaged and it lasts longer than you'd think

Nice fine-grained expanded polystyrene foam sheets.
No special tools needed — can carve these with a blunt pencil or a biro or almost anything. Ideal for beginners to block printing. The resulting printed image is not very sharp or accurate though.

Used for kids at school. They were ok to use, kids did put their pencils through quite a few times but the ones who were a bit more skilled it worked well.

Great intro for kids, or print beginners, before moving on to lino etc
Some reviewers have completely failed to understand that this is NOT supposed to be like lino. It is a very different product with very different uses and techniques. You do NOT use lino carving tools. You use pencils, ends of paintbrush handles, old biros etc to make marks and impressions. therefore it is particularly good for children. It is cheap and disposable and yes, it will break fairly easily. That said, it does what it does really well and as an adult linocut and wood engraver, I have had fun using this material.
