Didnโt get out one cookie
Iโve been using a cookie press from the 1950โs for 30 years. Perfect every time. Iโm away from home and bought this to make a large number of cookies fast. Didnโt have trouble putting together, could simulate action before putting dough in. The dough was not too hard. I kept squeezing the trigger and it kept moving but no dough came out. Took it apart and the metal part had broken the plastic piece that pushes the dough. Very disappointing to say the least.

Broke quickly after good start
This little cookie gun started out great. The first load of dough in the tube went quickly and easily, spitting out perfect cookies. I was so excited! I refilled the tube with the exact same batch of dough. Unfortunately, the gun broke about a fourth of the way through the second load of dough. Same dough, same person using it, same parameters of use. The metal bar that moves down the tube when you click the trigger poked through the plastic disc at the end which pushes the dough forward. There was no way for me to fix it even to finish up the rest of my dough. Bummer. I ended up having to try and pipe the rest of the dough with a piping tip and bag. Which is doable, but uses way too much dough. One of the points of a cookie gun is you are able to make a gazillion small, pretty cookies with one batch of dough. I ended up asking my sister, who has an old-fashioned metal press to do the spritz cookies for me. She was able to whip them off in an hour๐๐๐ป . I returned this item. My advice is to go to a thrift store and find one of the old fashioned metal ones for three dollars. Thatโs my plan for next Christmas ๐In my photo you can see in the upper corner one of the pretty small cookies I was able to make while the gun worked, and then my sad attempts at trying to pipe the rest of my spritz dough ๐

Donโt buy
Piece of junk. Broke within 5 minutes. I pressed 20 cookies out and then the rod went straight through the silicon. So disappointed!

Cheap Piece of Plastic with Consistency and Quality Issues
Sooo, I couldn't find my old cookie press and based on the reviews, this looked like a decent replacement. As soon as I cleaned it, I was concerned about how thin and flimsy the piece that pushes the dough down seemed to be (foreshadowing). Being optimistic and with no other choice since the dough was already made, I pressed on! (Unintentional pun I have now left in intentionally.)The very first thing I noticed is that the gun is incredibly inconsistent. See in my image on the right my smallest vs largest trees? Each of those are a single click of the press. It continually went from too skinny to clogged and back again. It also kept squeezing my dough out even when I wasn't pressing, so if I sat it down for a minute, I'd have to pull a bunch of dough off.Terrible consistency aside, I was extremely disappointed when partway through this first batch of cookies, it broke! My spritz dough was extremely soft and lightweight and I'm no goliath pulling the trigger. The metal rod that clicks with each press shot straight through the flimsy plastic part that pushes the dough down. I had to toss that entire tube of dough as it was full of plastic!I finally found my old press (a Wilton Preferred Press I think) and finished off the dough. Check out it's consistency on the left! Single press, near identical cookie, every time.Save your time and money and choose some other press!

Broke in 5 minutes!!!! Didnt even get through 1 batch of dough. DONT BUY
DO NOT waste your money! After just 5 minutes of use the plastic plunger that is attached to the metal post that pushes the dough down slipped up the post and stopped pushing the dough through the cookie press. I tried putting a rubber band behind it to stop it from slipping and that failed then I tried putting a zip tie behind it to stop it from slipping up the post and that failed. The whole thing is now in the trash and my sweet holiday cookie memory making experience with my 11 year old is ruined.

Do Not buy this item
I have used this item two times. First time the inside plastic mold on the top of the press broke into multiple pieces and left pieces of plastic in the cookies. Today I started to use it and the whole "pushing" mechanism broke into two pieces... Not worth the money..... I DO NOT RECOMME3ND BUYI8NG THIS ITEM.

Worked One Time
I was really looking forward to making Spritz cookies. Very soft dough! Filled the cylinder with dough and was able to press out 10 Christmas Trees and it broke . The metal rod pushed right through the plastic stopper. That ended the cookie press! Bad design !
