Bought to replace an old lock of the same make and model, on an outside gate. It does the job and was easy to fit. A good quality lock. Very sturdy.

A fantastic quality, secure gate lock that can be opened from either side. Fitting is fairly easy, but just a few tips: 1) They supply a 28mm wood bit in the box for the lock cylinder, which is OK. I strongly recommend using their template and then drilling a pilot hole in the middle and all the way through from BOTH sides. This will make it easier to drill the 28mm hole and it will prevent blowout (where the drill comes through and splinters the wood from the other side and looks a right mess) 2) I needed some 3mm ply as my gate and frame weren't aligned after 30 years. Maybe factor this in when you order. I bought some 3mm MDF here on Amazon. The lock bolt and striker plate (the metal bit on the frame that the bolt engages with) are a good snug fit - there is a little room, but you need to be fairly accurate. 3) You'll need a small drill bit for drilling the pilot holes. They used to include one on Youtube videos, but my pack didn't. A 3.5mm is ideal - it helps to seat the screws and makes installing it a lot easier. 4) Remove the self adhesive template once you've drilled the pilot holes. I forgot. I'm really impressed with this gate lock. I feel that the side/rear access to my house is better protected and we can access it from either side when we put bins out, gardening, parcels etc. I'm just sorry it took me 30 years to do it. Highly recommended lock.

Excuse the conditions of the gate in review as it’s going to be replaced very soon but can’t wait for the wife to make a decision on replacing it and the wall. Wanted to be able to open the side gate from both sides with a secure and sturdy lock. Searched around a bit but these kept being the best reviews as another cheaper didn’t seem as good quality, issues with keys and rusted quickly. Arrived next day nice and early so I could fit immediately. From the start the gate lock looked and felt quality. Good clear instructions, wood bit, screws and template. Went for the 70mm due to the timber brace I had added previously to gate for the bolt and padlock. Template on and started drilling and found the wood bit struggled a bit to get through but that could be my battery drill on its last legs. So drilled about 2inch in and then used a smaller wood bit and continued after with the bit that came with the lock (an option if the gate or door is thick). Job done and simply slotted lock into the gate, put bolt across and screwed on. Bolt across to measure where the receiver would go and screwed on. Final job was to put the brass housing on the outside. The brass screw heads are soft so a quick pre punch with a very thin screwdriver first before screwing them in. Key and bolt action smooth and seems strong. Looks all good quality and very happy. Ordered, delivered and fitted in less than 24hrs. All time record for me. Took about 2hrs to fit.

Simple sliding bar type lock. Not too difficult to fit. Does need key lock hole. Do need to keep sliding bar oiled during winter if exposed.

Arrived promptly and safely via Amazon Prime. Installed this lock on a garden gate to replace a bolt that could not be locked from the outside. Lock was easy to install, feels very robust and comes with heavy duty screws so would take some work to force off. Would strongly recommend and would re-purchase for any gate in future; allows gates to be locked from the exterior. Comes with multiple keys that are well made. There’s only one slight point in that it is sometimes prone to freezing in very cold weather so well advised to keep the lock well lubricated.

Solid high quality lock, very well packaged with clear fitting instructions. Considered buying a cheaper alternative but glad I decided to buy this. The only point I would make is that the instructions suggest 3.5 mm pilot holes, I would recommend 4mm

Il y a vraiment tout ce qu'il faut pour installer cette serrure en toute facilité. Vis, gabarit, mèche à bois de 28... La serrure en elle même semble etre d'excellente qualité et surtout, la course du pêne est suffisamment longue pour compenser le jeu qui se produit entre l'hiver et l'été... Bref, une bonne surprise.
