Low power draw keeps food cold!
So just returned from a 14 day camping trip and I have to say why I waited so long to buy one of these I don’t know. The quality is rugged, as we moved it around often. The controls are easy to use. There are only a few settings to understand. Power on or off, max or eco setting and the temp up or down. Other than the original cool down I only used the eco setting. This usually drew 30-40 watts when it was running. That was good because the bag and cooler insulation was good so it didn’t run all the time. I have a Tundra truck and in the bed is a DC outlet. I mostly had it plugged in there while driving and sitting in the back of my truck through 80-100 degree temps it stayed cold. When I wasn’t driving I had it plugged mostly into a Bluetti 268wh external battery. That usually lasted all day, then would need a recharge. I have sent that back and opted for a Eco flow 768wh pack to get three days worth of run time. Otherwise I had it plugged into AC in my pop up trailer. So now for the drawbacks. We often froze food we wanted cold. The temp range from bottom to top could be 6-12 degrees. And even warmer in the little side pocket. I ended up figuring out that veggies and condiments can go in the grey side spot and on top. It does require some constant shuffling of stuff. Once we got the hang of it everything was kept pretty well where we needed. I ended up buying a battery thermometer to leave inside(see pics) it was around 25$ here on Amazon I think. That allowed me to keep the monitor nearby or in cab of truck and the sensor in the cooler. The unit hilt i. thermometer I believe must be on bottom of cooler? The temp pics show difference between thermometer and actual ready out from different parts of the cooler. The 27 degree vs 45 was in the side compartment, the 27 degree vs 39 was at top of basket in main. All in 81 degree house. The last picture shows wattage draw on the Bluetti. In conclusion: the high quality compressor, rugged design and low wattage needed to run the unit makes this a sold buy product. I would rate it 4.5/5 stars, for the temperature inconsistency but since I can’t I left it 5 stars. I went through 10 bags of ice in my yeti during the same time. At 4.99$ per bag that’s already $50 I saved towards the cost of the unit.

Runs quiet. Works great.
Quiet, power efficient, high quality fridge. It runs fine off my 12v (cigarette lighter) port in my vehicle. I paired this with a Jackery 1000 v2 to run it when the vehicle is turned off and it works great. I have a cold fridge all the time without having to mess with ice. The Jackery will run it for up to 6 days without any additional power or recharge. You can also buy a 12v charging cord for the Jackery to recharge the Jackery while the vehicle is running and just keep the fridge plugged into the Jackery all the time. Depending on how much you are driving, you could have unlimited power for the fridge without ever needing shore power. There’s plenty of room for 1-2 people for a week’s worth of food.

Great customer service and product
Had great customer service when my delivery went missing. It said it was delivered a week before it actually arrived ( delivery service fault not iceco) during that week it was missing I contacted them and they began the process to send me another cooler. Luckily my first one came and I was able to cancel the second cooler but their willingness to help me not lose $600 was really appreciated. Now for the cooler itself. We bought it in October and hadn’t had a chance to use it for camping. Recently our area had a power outage due to high winds and die danger. We fired the jp50 pro up and ran it with food in it for the first time and it worked great. Saved us from needing to throw food away and held temperature. It’s heavy af even when empty but it’s durable and made really well

Great Fridge!
I just ordered a second JP50. My first one lasted over 5 years and is still going. It lives full time in my Suburban and has been powered on (by an Anker Solix battery) keeping my food and drinks at 34F for the last 2 years, 24/7. The handle finally broke on my old JP50 (my fault) so I ordered the new model. Love the new top that can be opened from either direction. Perfect for my use case. The JP50 is a very reliable fridge and is perfect for road trips. I hope the new model performs as well as their older models.

Customer Service second to none on a very good fridge
I bought my JP40 last year, hoping to take it on a few camping trips. It's sturdy, extremely quiet, very reliable, and overall a good addition for a budget overlander who's not living in their vehicle (it's probably too small for that, and a dual-zone would be better in that case). I am giving this solid marks for being an excellent fridge and a price that won't wreck the entire budget. But that's not what this review is about. It's about customer care after the sale. For reasons I've yet to identify, after about four months I noticed the lid became loose and didn't latch properly after a couple of trips in the Jeep. I had to put a *lot* of pressure on the lid for it to snap shut. With the camping season over by then, and my work season ramping up, I put this aside and only contacted Iceco after about 10 months of ownership. I asked their customer service folks how to adjust or repair the latch so it would once again close smoothly. After going back and forth for a while via email, they said they'd send a replacement--which I thought meant a new latch or lid assembly. No, they sent me a whole new fridge! Customer care is what makes the biggest difference to me when buying an expensive item, and in my opinion, you can't beat Iceco in this regard; they have earned my business for a long time after this. Granted I'm just a casual user who only goes out with it a few times a year, but imagine if I was living on the road six months a year and my fridge went bad on me? That would be a major issue. To know that Iceco has my back is the kind of peace of mind that I crave. Yes, I'm bit disappointed that the lid came loose, but anything can happen in a mobile environment with gear bouncing around the trails in the back of a Jeep. But to know that the company stands behind their products and helps out in ways that were above and beyond expectations makes them a great company in my book. Would Dometic be as responsive on their $1200 equivalent?

Quel bonne achat. Je la recommande vivement!! Bonne expédition!!
