Everdell Board Game – Worker Placement Strategy Game for 1–4 Players

Beautiful game! The cards and pieces are all just satisfying. The game takes a little while to learn, but once you get it, you can play over and over and improve your strategy. It says ages 14 and up, but my 8 year old niece can play along just fine. The tree is pretty tall and just adds to the overall experience. Made a perfect gift!

Love this game. Art stye is whimsical, pieces are quality. Each play-through feels unique and challenges you to pursue slightly different strategies based on the cards presented to you.

We've played Everdell a half dozen times so far and I'm very glad we got it. It's a very fun game with lots of stratgies to score points, but is also easy to learn or teach others. The gameplay is not like any other game we have and the layers of strategy remain interesting from game to game because the board itself is randomized in some respects each game. The design of the game visually is excellent. There are two improvements the game would benefit from. Trays to store the various game pieces would be excellent, and a more robust material for the Evertree. The default tree is made of cardboard and is a little tricky to assemble. Each time we do, the edges of the cardboard are damaged a little more. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it won't be as long as our desire to play the game.

Gorgeous game. Fun, but fairly complex and long worker placement game. Can feel cozy for a bit, but the last couple turns get pretty mathy as you weigh your options. Really pricey, but I got it on sale. I probably wouldn't have spent full price on it. You're paying a premium for the art and components, not for the gameplay.

My husband and I love this game. It’s super fun - once you actually have it set up. It can take about 10-15 min to fully set up - which is more than we typically prefer. But once it’s set up the game is adorable and very high quality (all the details definitely make the price tag worth it). We haven’t tried any expansions yet - so for now we only know this game is fun but labor intensive to set up and clean up.

I purchased this game on sale because I had seen it at target a number of times and thought the box art looked pretty cool. Turns out the game is a wholesome outdoor adventure game, where you and your friends have to prepare for the winter season. It is a great experience for anyone who is into engine building games. The first play through will take some time learn the gameplay and get used to the turns and how to prioritize cards however, overtime it becomes a very fun opportunity to create cool combinations of abilities and creatures. I love that Everdell incorporates a lot of physical elements, such as the pieces for food, the big tree and the event tiles. The only downside is that the tree is hard to disassemble, but my wife and I usually leave it up as decoration until we play. The price point feels somewhat accurate given the quality of the game pieces and the amount of items. However, it frequently goes on sale so if you keep your eye out, you should be able to get a good deal overall a very enjoyable game for two or more!

Just like any board game, it takes some time to read the rule and learn the game. Once you get the hang of it, it's fun to play. The set up and cards are beautiful to look at and I enjoy playing with with family and friends. Good quality pieces and each game is different. I have played this game multiple times and it's fun.

An excellent, really really fun game. Just like any new board game that has more than 1 page of rules; it's confusing at the start. However if you like games with a bit more substance and thinking power, push through it and trust me, you'll love it. The game changes every time you play it (spending what cards get drawn to aspire to get for extra points) and it's a real thinker. Plus it's cute! I know the price tag is a bit on the expensive side for a board game, but honestly just do yourself a favour and buy it.

The board pieces fell apart after the first time using. The game is super fun tho, and the art is gorgeous. Its just that the quality of the cardboard pieces suck.
