how does the oiling system work

This saw does not come with a oiling system. Have a can of wd40 handy.

Is it compatible with a pole extension from another brand?

What is the deal with oiling the chain on this? There's no mentionof it in the instructions.

Yes we also couldn’t find info in the directions for the oil either. We asked a tool tech at Home Depot and they said we should use a 3-1 oil . That part works great. We are having a problem with the battery not staying attached. Maybe the clip or something? Perhaps they will exchange ours . Love the size , ability and weight.
