NCIS - Season 8

Great DVD series

The much loved humour of the early seasons that marked this show as different, is in short supply, but this is an excellent season 8, better in my point of view than season 7. The emphasis is now on the story rather than being character driven. I do miss the original style but it cannot go on like that and the more serious approach of season 8 brings surprises, twists and perhaps shocks. Still a great cast and for me the best show of this type on TV (not that I have TV)!

Just bought this along with Season 7, and the humour mixed into the drama remains intact. Mark Harmon still excels as Gibbs, as does Michael Weatherly's DiNozzo, David McCallum's "Ducky" Mallard. Sean Murray's McGee, and, the lovely Cote de Pablo's Ziva David and Pauley Perrette's "Abby" Sciuto (both of whom still have the same effect on me...) I'm not into comparing Seasons, or criticising times when the occasional Episode is sub-par, just grateful that there are more to come.

I love NCIS, as an avid watcher in the UK, I love how the team work when solving cases as well as hints at their personal lives. The focus is always the case and the specifics, and the dynamic between the characters is great. Gibbs' character as being the bossman is challenged by DiNozzo's cocky yet loveable 'i'm am big boy now' attitude, and then McGee's geeky but always needed techy skills bounce off him nicely. Now that Ziva has been fully excepted into the team as a 'probie' she views cases more with an outside, colder attitude because of how she was brought up and trained in Israel. Then you've got Abby's gothy, dark, metal loving yet sensitive, touchy-feely forensics expert and Ducky the ME who will just ramble on even when no-one's there except the corpses! Dvd box set arrived on time and in perfect condition. Enjoy!

Firstly the package. This was the UK version not the Dutch version quoted by so many reviewers.Excellent quality sound and vision. 6 discs with a host of extras including a short one on Michael Weatherley directing. There is a special feature on every disc except disc four and three on disc six. Box contained in a slip case. Note that 'some episodes may be edited from their original network versions' does this mean cut or extended or what? The blurb on the outside of the cover says that it' contains every heart-pounding minute of all 24 episodes' - ummm. As to the quality of the season, after all these years there are bound to be some flat episodes. The introduction of agent Barrett to the squad with her team didn't really gell and yet again we were 'treated ' to Tony's father ! ! I'm also wondering how the Marine corps is doing as so many of the bodies found, not only in this season but previous ones, are Marines.

Loved the series nice to have easy access to it.

Each season is better than the previous one.

This is a brilliant season from the conclusion of the previous season's 'Cliff-Hanger' to the introduction of another NCIS team and the Port-to-Port Killer story strand. Their are some classic face-offs between Gibbs and the new team-leader E.J and some great humour in the interchanges between the two teams as they begin to warm to each other. NCIS continues to deliver quality entertainment with humour and exciting action sequences.

Bon je n'ai pas l'habitude de faire des commentaires avant d'avoir eu le produit, mais disons que je vais faire une exeption^^ J'ai acheté ce coffret en précommande chez Amazon, comme j'ai l'habitude de le faire, premièrement parce que c'est environ 10€ moins chere qu'en magasin et deuxièmement parce que je connais ce site, étant une cliente habituelle, et je peux hors et déjà dire que je recevrais ce coffret dès le lendemain de sa parition. Quand au coffret, ayant déjà toutes les autres saisons de la même collection, je sais que j'en serais plus que ravie. La qualité d'image et la bande son, sont parfaites avec plusieurs choix de langues et sous-titres. Je ne peux pas le certfier, mais je suppose que comme pour les autres coffrets de cette superbe série, nous aurons le droit à des bonus de qualités également dont la fameuse "Table ronde avec les acteurs" de fin de tournage. Et pour finir je pense que ceux qui sont interressés pas ce coffret connaissent la série et les épisodes et je peux en dire que du bien, moi fan des premiers temps. La fin de la saison 7 nous avait, comme par habitude dans NCIS, laissé sur notre fin et le premier épisode de cette 8ème année est digne d'une ouverture de saison. Les épisodes sont tous très agréables, avec sans faire de spoilers, la première rencontre des deux personnages clé de cette série, la collaboration avec d'autres agents dont une chef d'équipe qui ne laissera pas les menbres de l'équipe numéro 1 dans l'indifférence et enfin une intrigue ou plutôt un fil rouge sur plusieurs épisodes avec un tueur en série, et un dernier épisode avec les dernières secondes très prometteuse pour la suite et l'arrivé de la saison 9 (que je connais). Bref cette saison, ce coffret, NCIS quoi, est à regarder, à avoir et à re-regarder sans modération^^

リージョン１だからパソコンで見ようとおもっていたけれどなぜかＤＶＤプレーヤーで見れました。 シーズン９はダメだったからこれだけ特別だったのかもしれませんが得した気分です。

Ottimo anche per il prezzo. Edizione francese ma niente di meno rispetto a quella italiana, consigliato per gli appassionati della serie. Amazon rispetta come sempre i tempi di consegna e con un buon imballaggio

Acteurs fantastiques, en Français. Excellente série a voir absolument. Je recommande

Es geht hierbei nicht um den Inhalt der Staffel - dass der gut ist, brauche ich hier nicht zu diskutieren -, sondern, dass ich einfach nur jedem empfehlen kann, sich ausländische DVD Boxen zu kaufen, weil man sich dann erstens dieses elende Zweigeteilte der Staffel erspart, wie es scheinbar nur hier in Deutschland vermehrt üblich ist, sondern weil die Boxen meistens auch billiger sind als bei uns. Gut, dann ist die ganze Schrift der Box eben in Italienisch, sodass man sich am besten ein Blatt mit einem Episodenguide ausdruckt, aber wenn ich dafür Geld spare, ist mir das egal. Die Tonspuren, also natürlich Deutsch und Englisch, sind ja dieselben wie in deutschen Boxen auch, von daher ist mir das egal, was draußen draufsteht.
