the Merlin to Optimus' Arthur
This figure has amazing detail the lion mode's mane and the detail on the robot mode's face and chest is really well done. And surprise, surprise he's a triple changer not exactly obvious at first glance.

Alpha Trion Lives
I recently brought Alpha Trion the robot who turned orion pax to optimus prime. this figure is a good representation of a classic G1 transformer the only thing this figure is missing is his cape. 1)the vehicle mode looks like a smaller version of engeron titlewave. the colors are on point. 2) the beast mode is simlar to cybertron leo breaker mold 3) robot mode is also great i dont have any Quality Control issue like some other people but for any G1 fan or Transformers Collectors this is a must.

Alpha... Lion?
Pros: *Looks good in all modes. *At least somewhat resembles Alpha Trion. *Awesome energon sword. *Infinitely high stats. Cons: *Would've fit better in Beast Wars than Titans Return. *Very tight hip joints. *Pop-up sides of head are on a hair trigger (go off without prompt). *Beefy warrior motif doesn't really fit Alpha Trion as a character. I get that the Lion mode is a nod to the never released Beast Wars Alpha figure (google it), but it really doesn't work for me as most of what I love about the Titans Return line is how they all are remenisant of their G1 selves. Alpha Trion does have his Cybertronian Ship mode which is nice, but in robot mode the lion parts are all there and he looks like a samurai. I like that look a lot, but it doesn't work in my opinion for this wise and peaceful autobot.

ALPHA! FRIGGING! TRION!
First Alpha Trion figure that wasn't convention exclusive as far as I can recall. Amazing figure and painted really well, too. Fun transformation into all modes and makes for an imposing display! Well done, Hasbro!
