Identification of country of issue is the key to finding where stamps are listed in the catalogue This book, fully revised and now in colour throughout, is ideal for use with Stanly Gibbons' famous 'stamps of the world' catalogue (available on separate auction) It teaches how to study stamp inscriptions as the means of recognising issuing countries and is packed with information on how to deal with both normal and unfamiliar scripts New collectors will find it an indispensible companion to their catalogue and even more experienced collectors will refer to it when puzzling specimens come their way 40 Pages Review: So Useful - I have started collecting again after losing my collection to flooding. This little book is amazing, full of so much information and it has helped me identify stamps country of origin. Review: basic but very useful - this is really ideal for beginners and is indispensable as such - but even as one gets a little more experienced, it is very useful for the odd stamp that one might come across that is completely unfamiliar.

S.G. - How To Identify Stamps
I'm no expert but seems like a good book to help me identify stamps. Not many pages but seems to cover a lot, loads of pics and info. Worth the price I think, I would recommend.

Publisher should think to revise the title of the book
The book is overpriced. The title "How to Identify Stamps" is not appropriate. The contents of the book is good and important. All the stamp lovers will be immensely benefited. However, the book is overpriced. The description are basically related to identify the relevant country of stamps. It does not indicate how to identify original stamp , it misses the caution to stamp lovers from forged stamps. However, those who want to know the native place of stamps and description indicated on the face of the stamp, the book is very good.

Still, some more information would have added more value to the book.
