when/if it's allowed to get that bad by walking or standing too much for a chronically ...
I am a size 12 extra wide men's foot = extra large size PowerLix Ankle Brace Compression Support Sleeve. I ordered both a Large size and an Extra Large size. Comes with a pair of them to each box. The Extra large was really tight and all at first but loosened up perfectly for my ankle, still using the first extra large a month later. I tired the large size on, not much smaller than the extra large but absolutely tighter, way tighter, too tight for my feet. So I gave those away to another in need. This PowerLix Ankle Brace Compression Support Sleeve solves much of my severely swollen ankle quickly (but sadly not permanently) due to a very serious motor vehicle collision. At least I found a way to greatly reduce ankle swelling. And all while most doctors don't have a clue or don't give a damn. Whatever! Only this ankle compression sleeve reduces significantly and efficiently both my injured ankle swelling and the associated calf swelling too, when/if it's allowed to get that bad by walking or standing too much for a chronically injured ankle of mine. The compression sock that my primary care provider advised cannot and didn't do what this higher quality ankle compression sleeve does. This thing is a real winner for swelling and it solves the out of control swelling of the ankle, and my associated calf swelling because of the ankle swelling. As for "an ankle brace"? It's not a good replacement for any brace or boot/cast. But if you have swelling it will help there a lot, or did for me, and yea it does offer a bit of support and comfort for a very tender foot when wearing it so it helps there a bit too, as a somewhat lame brace of sorts. But realize it wont give enough "support" for a unstable ankles, or at least not for my seriously unstable ankle that is much more at home in the boot/cast where I clamp down so that the ankle is fully supported and guarded from twists and torques of the ankle. Only a boot/cast or ankle brace can suffice for that. THIS IS THE ONE TO TRY and the quality is top notch just like they advertize!

Third Times the Charm - This is the Perfect Brace for Sensitive Feet ...
The "PowerLix Ankle Brace Compression Support Sleeve" is the third ankle brace my husband has purchased and tried to wear all day - and the first to win his approval. The effects of arthritis on his ankle require some type of brace to help alleviate the pain and to prevent further inflammation. The brace his doctor recommends is bulky; the ridges on the outside edges bothered his "sensitive" feet - even the seams on socks do so. The other brace's edges were far more bulky. This PowerLix brace was so comfortable that he is able to wear it all day. It provides support and compression, but the top hem is large enough it does not dig into his calf and the bottom edge is smooth and even. My husband wears an 11D shoe and the measurements of his foot indicated he probably needed a medium. The medium brace fits very well; the top edge does not cause a ridge in his calf, but is a bit loose. However, a small would likely have been too tight. He is slender, so individuals who are more substantial may not find this brace as comfortable, even if their foot measurement is within the parameters of the sizing chart. If you do not need rigid support, the "PowerLix Ankle Brace Compression Support Sleeve" will be perfect for you. Our only "complaint" is that it is not solid black since it is obvious if you wear it outside your sock.

SIZE DOWN.
With these you gotta size down to actually feel the compression, I followed the measurements in the size guide and still had to exchange for a smaller one. Otherwise excellent product and quality. I gifted these to my pregnant sister who was struggling with liquid retention around her ankles, and she loved it and saw improvement within days after wearing it for 8+ hrs. For the price it ain’t too bad!

High quality, thicker, better pressure
I bought 3 different brands of these kinds of ankle socks and this one is definitely more high quality that provides the most pressure. I like that the heel isn't cut out like the others I bought are, which makes this one more comfortable and the pressure is more consistent. I wear this ankle brace because of nerve damage in my ankle that I got from a botched varicose vein operation. Having the pressure on my ankle minimizes the pain and also helps my veins, which have "leaky valves." I wear these underneath socks or with flip flops every day. I bought both this in both Small and Medium and shot a video to show how the Small is a better fit for me. I have average sized ankles for a woman.

Nice support...now where's the other one?!?
I ordered this "pair" of support sleeves as I've been having issues with one of my ankles. My plan was to rotate them so I could always have a clean one available. Well I should have read the reviews because I only received ONE brace and not a pair and it seems that this is a common issue for some reason. The one that I got does help with my ankle, however it would be nice to have the pair that I paid for.

Just right!
I bought a pair (blue) and liked them so well, I bought another pair (beige). Both colors look just as they do in the pictures. My ankles (and lower legs) are skinny and measure 12.5" around according to the chart, so I bought medium. The fit is perfect, not too tight or too loose, so I will say that the measuring chart is accurate. I broke both ankles a few years ago, about two inches higher than the ankle. And that is why I chose these, because they are not knee-highs and they are not as low as some of the others. The material is just right, a little more thick than thin. I wear them with flip-flops but they would easily fit into a pair of shoes. For me they are not loose around the tops and they don't fall down! These have been very helpful, and also comfortable, and so I'm thrilled that I picked just the right item!

Fits good, seems to be supportive enough. Didnt have to size down to get a good compression. Feels like good quality but only used them for about a week so far. If you are hesitant wether to buy or not buy, i'd say its a good purchase considering price.
