This dispenser has standby function, which means you don't need to turn it on or off before you use it.

Do I charge it after I fill it?

We have filled it about 3 times but have only charged it the initial time. I personally would not charge it until it stops. Hope this helps.

Sorry you are having problems. I've recharged twice with no issues. Has been working great so far. If possible contact the manufacturer or support for possible solutions. Perhaps you are unlucky with a defective unit and it can be returned/replaced through Amazon.

Works perfectly

Purchased 7 months ago and until now it works perfectly! I put dish soup in this dispenser, so far there are no issues. I charge the dispenser appx every 3-4 weeks. I use the lowest level of dispatching the dish soup which actually helps me to use dish soup less. Highly recommended.

I really like the fact that this is the FIRST soap dispenser that actually works like it is suppose to. It looks nice, easy to full, price was fair. Soap comes out in a nice amount. We love it as do our guests. I highly recommend this.
