Roasting thermometer, colour, Type 1

I really like this little thermometer. Some of the larger barbecues come with one ready installed, but rarely are they supplied on the smaller camping style barbies. I have a Weber Go-Anywhere, a Weber Smokey Joe and a couple of Clas Ohlson Move-It barbecues. These are all really great little camping stoves, but temperature control is a bit of guesswork so I thought I'd give one of these temperature gauges a try. I decided to install it on the cheaper Clas Ohlson barbie just in case I made a lash up of cutting the hole.I needn't have worried. After taping the area first, I marked up and drilled the barbie lid, pushed the sensor through then tightened it using the supplied wingnut.It works really well and allows me to check on the internal temperature during cooking. I can add charcoal when necessary during the cook should the temperature start to fall. Now all I need to do is buy one for each one of my little barbies. Thoroughly recommended

Highly recommended upgrade for many budget barbecues. The thermometer on my cheap little smoker had got condensation inside and started to corrode - I did not particularly trust it it to begin with as it resembled a kid's toy. This one is a standard size and is a simple replacement with no messing around. The metal is a shiny steel / chrome finish which feels substantial and does not feel like it will flake / peel apart. Have compared it with a manual thermometer and an infra red point and shoot and it seems reasonably accurate. Good upgrade.

Update 15.07.16 Installed the thermometer using a couple of drill bits but the final one was a 10mm HSS and fit perfect. Will hopefully get to use the bbq over the weekend to see how the thermometer compares to a probe temperatureI haven't installed this to the BBQ yet but wanted to provide clear photos and dimensions for those considering to purchase this. I will update this review once I have installed and tested it.

For the price this is ideal. I drilled a hole in my Weber BBQ Kettle and placed this in. It is substantially cheaper than the Weber one and has been very useful when doing some indirect cooking on joints/ribs etc. I have used it over 10 times, it still works perfectly. It comes with everything you need to fit, just drill an appropriate hole in your BBQ lid.

Works great. Have bought 2 now and replaced my BBQ's factory thermometer with this one as it seems more accurate and I like the cooking indicators. Have cooked 3 different cuts of joints of beef using the heat gauge as an indicator on coal and gas and have to say they've turned out great each time.

Bought this for Weber Go anywhere BBQ- when installed and cooking on indirect heat the spike that protrudes into inside poked into the Beef joint! I tried to shorten it too find there is a wire inside ! No instructions ! Returned for refund

Got this to install into my beer keg BBQ and it looks savage! It was good value and shipped to Ireland. See the picture for how it looks in the BBQ.

Bought this to replace the old worn out rusty one on the grill. Works perfectly. Not too sure on how accurate the temperature is though. I tend to cook by feel. I use it to make sure the temperature is constant.

I've been using this for about a year with a Weber grill. It works as expected. I don't like the fact that I see a significant amount of water condensation inside the glass if it rains and the grill has been sitting for a few days. Obviously the grill is not sitting in the rain, this is just from air humidity.

Non ho verificato se la temperatura assoluta indicata sia accurata ma posso dire che il movimento è molto graduale e fluido.Unico neo è il posteriore del termometro che è abbastanza lungo, circa 5 cm, e può dare problema con i movimenti della copertura di un barbecue (se è li che volete montarlo).Sempre riferendomi al barbecue, se avete un oggetto a carbonella allora forse conviene rivolgersi ad un dispositivo con massima temperatura più ampia: verso i 300 gradi il termometro indica il rischio del danneggiamento... e non è difficile superare la temperatura. Meno probabile se a gas.

Hace perfectamente su función. Buena calidad y buen precio. Una opción muy buena para transformar tu barbacoa en horno también.

Fonctionne parfaitement. Calibré correctement. Je l'ai testé dans de l'eau bouillante, il indique bien 100°C.Indispensable pour une cuisson correcte avec un BBQ/Fumoir.
