Lip smacking load of deliciousness
Why has this only got 4 stars, I purchased this with little expectation based on this rating and was blown away by the lovely meaty flavour. The meat is juicy, tender and plentiful. The taste is what I was hoping for and more! This is what I come to expect from biltong and this brand sets the standard. I hope y’all enjoy this as much as I did. Most definitely will be purchasing more of this heavenly bag of loveliness! Many thanks; Digital Dobbie.

Slimey, Oily and Foul Tasting.
Imagine jerky where someone's poured a cup of oil into the bag, left it to sit and then drained it... That's how insanely oily it is... Have I made a mistake and this is for dogs? I mean garlic is poisonous for dogs so I couldn't even give it to them... But man this was horrifically bad... categorically the worst jerky I've ever eaten and that includes the furry jerky you realise has turned bad... It's indescribably disgusting... Truly words cannot convey how many times I thought "it can't be that bad" and tried it again and again and each time been amazed at how much more dislikeable it was than the memory of the last time. Memories cannot form deep enough to truly credit how utterly bad this was...I don't know how a single person has eaten this and thought it ok... It's also really stringy and excessively fatty so not good quality... And it's soggy from oil... Your hand comes away slimey just from a tentative dip in the bag... I had it on my subscribe and save and if it were good, I'd have continued with it for years but my god when I say I didn't realise it was possible for jerky to be soooo bad, I truly mean it. Note to seller: please please please add flavourings directly instead of dowsing a finished product in flavoured (and badly) oil. I really am not exaggerating when I say it was utterly terrible.

Delicious but oily
We are a house of biltong lovers. This biltong was delicious and great value for the amount packaged. Only downside was that it was way too oily. I get a bit of moisture but it was a bit much. Could have been the batch. Would order again to see if it was different as it was tasty.

Biltong Boss Beef biltong 200g
Have had this on subscription for a couple of years. Get a bag once a fortnight, so I've had quite a few bags by now. When I first subscribed the product was rather vinegary, but they seem to have slightly altered the recipe so it's not as strong. Definitely prefer the newer version. I used to be a devoted Jack Links jerky eater, but that stuff somehow became bright red, waxy and unpalatable and so my adventure with Biltong began. You can see this product still at least resembles beef cuts. If you're new to biltong, remember It's meant to be enjoyed slowly, chew a while to release all the flavours. If you guzzle it down you'll just have an empty packet and be left wondering what all the fuss is about. BTW, the price fluctuates constantly. Sometimes up to £16, so buy when it's around £10-£12.

Addictive
I am trying not to order another bag this is the best in my opinion as it tastes delicious not overpowered with saltiness and chutney and spices no horrid aftertaste definitely the best biltong out there but be aware it is addictive

Not for me: too much fat and too oilly?
I purchased this product based on the glowing five-star reviews and the “great taste producer” badge. However, my experience left me somewhat disappointed. Let me break down my observations: 1. Excessive Fat Content: The biltong in this combo has an overwhelming amount of fat. It’s not an exaggeration—I feel like every other bite contains a fatty piece. Unfortunately, these fatty portions are tough to chew and swallow, which makes it hard to enjoy. 2. Oily Biltong: The biltong, on the other hand, is excessively oily. This raises concerns about whether it was air-dried adequately. Given the high ratings, I didn’t expect such greasiness. In summary, if you’re a fan of moist and fatty biltong, this combo might be worth a try. However, personally, I won’t be purchasing it again.

The quality is good
I grew up in South Africa and Zimbabwe and I have always been a lover of biltong. I recently bought some biltong from Amazon and to my surprise it was really good. I expected maybe some knock off biltong from America ( beef jerky they call it ) but it tasted like I remember from my youth. Definitely buying again.
