Worked well on a heavy denim job without breaking but did try on occasions to "shred" the top stitching cotton we were using. (Probably our fault, not the needles!)

The best quality sewing machine needles
In my opinion , the best sewing machine needles you can buy. Great quality which last ages. I've tried other brands which are cheaper but now I don't buy anything but Scmetz. Besides these top-notch needles, I have their embroidery jeans, microtex and metallic needles in my workbox. Check out the really helpful guide to choosing the best needle on their website. You can download it and it's so useful because having the right type of needle and the right size of needle will prevent shredded thread, breaking needles, skipped stitches and "birds nest" type knots. Trust me!
