Yale Assure Lock 2 Deadbolt, Satin Nickel Keyless Entry Door Lock with Digital Touchscreen Keypad and Bluetooth Connectivity (No Wi-Fi), ‎YRD430-BLE-619

A pickless lock, as it has no key at all. I saw this on the Lock Picking Lawyer podcast and thought I'd give it a try. It's actually better than expected. We only wish it came in bright brass, but otherwise, it's a PERFECT product, worth every penny. Easy to install, with parts included for three sizes of door thickness and two diameters of deadbolt latches. We had bought a Honeywell unit, but disliked it because it has no backlighting, but this one is backlit and has nice buttons that light up. It even plays a tune when you enter the correct PIN code. Great design. I also like the 9V battery failsafe option. Brilliant.

This is the keyless version of the lock. I figured; I have three entry doors. If I have a key but the batteries have quit on the keyless lock - meh, use the other doors! If I don't have a key -- a key cylinder is not going to save me. This version is very clean looking from the outside. The inside is still the bulky box but what are you going to do? Easy to install (my house is OLD) the backset is 2.5" not 2 or 3. It took me a while to figure out how to jam the throw to work in a 2.5 backset but it is working great. I am sure someone could kick the door in slightly easier - but it's glass - so you want in, you're coming in no lock is stopping you.

This was an excellent purchase. The battery life lasts a little less than a year. It was very easy to install and it looks so slick on my black door. It is very durable as my lock is exposed to some water when it rains and it had held up very well.

Reliable. Batteries last a long time with regular use (installed ~3 months ago, still at 74% for the front door used many times daily). Requires WiFi and cloud for initial setup, but can then delete the app afterword. You do need the app if you want to wirelessly control it via Bluetooth without any added modules. Critically, this is compatible with the Z-wave 700 series module, model AYR-MOD-ZW3, which can be found on EBay (see photo 3). This has allowed local-only control of the doors via Home Assistant. Once you give up control of the lock via the Yale app, it is easy to add the lock to Home Assistant with the Z-Wave JS UI integration. DoorSense is now innately compatible with the 700 series module with no extra setup outside basic installation (see photo 3), and instantly shows up as an entity in Home Assistant. In addition to a door open/closed entity, it also has battery % entity. Even from within Zwave JS UI without other helper scripts/automations, you can setup auto-lock features and maintain many different codes. Also, the black color matches any matte-black handles out there, including the Schlage handle seen in photos.

I like the design and functionality of the Yale Keyless locks. After my first lock failed (after only three years), I went to Yale for a replacement. This new lock is beautifully designed but so poorly executed. Installation was easy, it perfectly fit the existing lock holes. Unlike the older model, you have to use the app to configure this lock. There are many, many options on the app, almost none of which are documented in the manual. The manual exhaustively documents the many error conditions, but barely describes how to use the lock in the first place! There is one single page on how to use the lock, which did not help me configure the key code. After much exploration and many attempts, I gave up and called customer support for help. Yale has great customer support, fortunately, and the agent was able to direct me to a screen I had not seen to fix my problem. That was two weeks ago. Now, the lock will no long move the deadbolt. I'm going to go back and buy an older model, the Assure SL, and hopefully that will fix me up.

Looks sharp and well-documented installation steps.

We got locked out a few times that I had to climb the 6 feet fence and go around the house to open the back door; I am old!!. This lock acts crazy. Now we have to leave a 9v battery, just in case.. It is a nice looking lock and small. I only use it via bluetooth, not wifi.

This product is not suitable for use in Australia. After communicating with Yale Australia, Yale USA I have had to uninstall the complete lock system, package it & return it. This product should never be sold in Australia. It is solely for use in the USA & is incompatible with the configuration software required to make the lock functional.

NO FUNCIONA EN MEXICO

Installed this in my home about a week ago and so far it’s doing a great job. The installation process was super easy. The only issue I had was that it wasn’t installed level the first time I had installed it, so I disassembled it to redo the whole process and level it with the door. Just make sure that you have other primary entrance doors as this is a keyless entry.

Bought this smart lock in the UAE. Customer service tells me it only works in the USA. DO NOT WASTE YORU MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT IF YIU ARE NOT IN THE USA.
