Very high quality and way better than any other gaming headset I’ve used. There are gaming headsets, then there’s this. Great for comfort and all-day (or night) gaming sessions. Wipes the floor with many of the mainstream names offerings. Wide soundstage and excellent positioning.

Imagine a better DT 770 Pro coupled with one of the best cardioid microphone money can buy, and you end up with the MMX 300. They're relatively light at 290 grams, great given their sturdy steel frame. They're comfortable, though like most Beyerdynamic headphones, the clamping force is fairly high around the ears. So as usual, place them around an object larger than your head for a few days at night and they'll be good to go, at the expense of noise isolation obviously. They sound very neutral, and listening to recodings of your own voice is so clear that it is almost confusing... I compared it against a good lav mic, my former Sennheiser pair and the microphone of my logitech 920 webcam: it beats them all in terms of vocal range, volume, ambient noise suppression and clarity. The Sennheiser wasn't too far, but sounded very nasal and needed more gain to offer the same output volume. So when Beyerdynamic writes "extremely high-quality condenser microphone" on the box, they're not lying. We're in the territory of high end broadcast microphone quality, perfect for podcasts and voice overs. So yes, they're amazing. Pricey, but it is justified, as it's clearly a professional grade device.

These are astonishingly good! I cannot fault them and if they last as long as my other Beyer Dynamic headphones that I got for my hifi, then I will be more than happy ( I got the hifi ones in 1977!!). They are expensive however they should outlast anything on the market and also backed up by Beyer's spare parts service. Something the Chinese crap can't do! Sound quality is brilliant, microphone works really well and they are very comfortable over long periods. Bite the bullet and get a pair.....you won't be disappointed!!

I put 4 stars because the cable with the "y" connection was faulty. Fortunately comes with two cables and the one with the straight conection was good so we had to buy a "y" extension and it was perfect. Even though the item said everything was in good condition there was this problem. I believe that the returned products should be better tested before re selling them saying they are working 100%. The product itself is real good. Good quality, good sound, good microphone, good isolation.

Overall sound and bass is decent quality. Comfort is good but also where it loses big points. After about 12 months of (admittedly heavy) use, the earpieces lose a lot of sponginess, so you start to feel the metal rims underneath. IE quite unfomfortable. The headband also looses it's coating so black bits end up everhwere. So yea, be preared to fork out apprx £38 for new earpieces from GER if you will use them a lot. Would not buy again even though I love the brand.

Guys I felt like these were ZEN1 not zen2... they didn't have the treble softening foam pads inside like on YouTube.... NOT JUST A GAMING HEADPHONE. Really, try the Dekoni sheep skin for Bayers on these. Softens the treble. Too harsh for my taste on stock pads. And it's also V shaped. Unfortunately I returned these because I prefer a much more aggressive mid range and well balanced sound. But YOU WILL FEEL THE BASS! if that's your jazz. Highly recommend with a DAC grab the ifi hip dac easily portable on the go as well. With that xBASS. Feels like BOOMBOX in your EARS :D. But unfortunately for me. It was a choice between HifiMan Sundara (open back) and these. The Sundaras clearly gives more of that eargasm specially on a ifivhip dac hooked up on a pc. Also on phone but a little less. Mid range felt muffled and muddy to me. So the vacals weren't as prominent of course. Specially on sound of silence. It's a taste thing. If you like electro though 100% you'll love these. And these Bayers will sound better than any other wireless crap you got.

TLDR: Poor Mic, Decent Sound ( not for every one), Awful build quality---- alot of compromise for the price. This brand is renowned for its sound so in that regards it does live up to the standard of delivery studio monitoring headphone. This may be a problem for many cause often times this is not an appealing sound so alot of tuning may be required for it sound nice. The problems don't end there. Although the velvet like material on ear cups are comfortable they are a magnet for dust and lint so be wary of that. However the biggest problem with this headphone is the microphone quality and the overall build quality. The microphone is atrocious simply put. And despite the ear cups having a solid build, my microphone broke from its housing within 2 weeks keep in mind I didn't misuse/abuse it. Not to mention the provided 3.5 mm headphone cable is very short and they didn't even bother to braid it.

Compared to the first generation, the cable is dreadful and mine has disintegrated from the inside out. Moisture can get inside the cable via the volume control and oxidates. A replacement cable costs £50! Although the headset feels sturdier than the first version, the audio quality is greatly lacking. Personally I would look elsewhere. Also, customer support is now crap and you can no longer purchase replacement parts directly from beyerdynamic! Contacting them regarding the cable, they claimed that I damaged the cable "mechanically". I did nothing of the sort. I always hang the headset up after use and I have it set up so the cable never touches the floor, to avoid it getting caught in my chairs wheels.

Qualora stiate valutando se acquistarle oppure no devo subito avvertirvi che (come da titolo) se volete un volume bello elevato serve collegarle ad un buon amplificatore per cuffie. Dipende tutto a quale fonte vengono collegate, per esempio dal mio PC riesco a pilotarle discretamente perché ho una scheda audio di buona qualità, anche se non basta, mentre ascoltando musica dal cellulare o dal portatile il volume è bassino. Hanno un'impedenza molto più elevata a confronto alla maggior parte dei prodotti in commercio (impedenza = livello di resistenza di un apparecchio al flusso di corrente elettrica continua). Andando nel dettaglio, queste cuffie, essendo professionali, sono pensate per essere usate per esempio negli studi di registrazione, motivo della loro grande impedenza poiché in questi posti la corrente che arriva in input è molto maggiore a confronto ai dispositivi normalmente usati perché e ci sarebbe un alto rischio di danneggiare seriamente l'udito. Quindi, se le volete acquistare, vi consiglio di comprare anche un amplificatore; ne viene consigliato uno come acquisto abbinato se notate bene, io infatti ho proprio quello. Se invece pensate di collegarle ad apparecchi semplici ve le sconsiglio, non compratele perché non le sfruttereste neanche per il 30%. Non le ho provate con le console PS4 e Xbox ma ho letto che i risultati sono buoni, ma ritorniamo ancora sul discorso dell'amplificatore anche quì. Parlando della qualità, già soltanto indossandole verrete ammaliati dalla loro aura di qualità estrema, isolano benissimo e sono comodissime, padiglioni molto soffici e con incavo, quindi vanno ad avvolgere le orecchie senza premere sulla cartilagine. Posso subito dire che c'è una distinzione netta delle varie frequenze: bassi, medi e alti si possono apprezzare alla grande, anche con file audio lossless come gli mp3 ogni strumento musicale è ben distinto. Vi divertirete ad ascoltare come queste cuffie riprodurranno i vostri brani preferiti, la differenza è palese nella qualità, hanno solo bisogno di essere pilotate a dovere. Riguardo il gaming, con queste cuffie starete sempre un passo avanti, ve lo posso assicurare: ogni suono è perfettamente comprensibile da dove arriva e di che tipo è, per esempio si può intuire se un nemico sta camminando al piano sotto a voi (suono più ovattato), se sta camminando all'aperto, se è vicino a voi e si sta girando da accovacciato. Ogni rumore è perfettamente chiaro. Prima avevo delle cuffie molto economiche pagate 30€ e faticavo molto a comprendere i suoni, tanto che dovevo seguirli con il mouse per cercare di comprenderne l'origine, cosa che spesso purtroppo non avveniva perché lo avvertivo da un'altra parte ed è comunque una cosa molto frustrante, ma adesso non ho più bisogno di seguire i suoni con la visuale e perdere altro tempo ad interpretarli. Altra cosa che mi viene in mente è anche il rumore generato da fenomeni atmosferici quali la pioggia sulle varie superfici differenti, oppure dei passi sul fango, sul pavimento ecc. Il microfono è eccezionale, qualità inarrivabile dagli altri headset. Non è rimovibile ma lo si può far ruotare fino all'archetto, mentre l'asticella è di libero movimento. E' provvisto della spugnetta antivento ma io l'ho rimossa, l'audio si sente meglio a mio parere, basta che però non ci si va a soffiare mentre si parla, ma ne consiglio la rimozione. Sono davvero soddisfatto, ribadisco però che per sfruttarle al 100% hanno bisogno di un DAC esterno, io uso un Sound BlasterX G6 e ve lo consiglio. Certo, il prezzo finale è per pochi. SI) Chi ha sistemi potenti e vuole giocare ad alti livelli, per gli audiofili più fissati, per chi lavora con il suono ecc. NO) Ascoltare semplicemente musica dal cellulare/tablet/portatile, piuttosto risparmiate e andate su qualcosa di molto più easy, cuffie del genere non vi occorrono. - Ho allegato diverse foto dei componenti principali: cuffie, padiglioni in tessuto, custodia per cuffia e accessori, custodia aperta + cavo classico jack 3.5 mm ed infine il cavo Y per collegare il microfono (ve lo faccio già vedere collegato in foto). Non l'ho fotografato ma è disponibile anche un adattatore a 6.35 mm.

Llevo usándolos unos 6-8 meses. Buscaba un posicionamiento del sonido en juegos excelente ya que competía en CS:GO y era una prioridad, un buen micrófono para comunicarme con mis compañeros de equipo en TeamSpeak, y la mayor calidad de sonido posible en este rango de precio para todo lo que no es jugar (música, etc.). También partes intercambiables como orejeras, diadema y cable para ir cambiando a medida que pasan los años y se van deteriorando. Cumplió todas mis expectativas y más: El posicionamiento del sonido a pesar de ser de orejera cerrada es increiblemente preciso, mucho mejor que cualquier otro headset que he tenido. La calidad del sonido es buena, aunque no te van a impresionar nada más ponertelos. Noté que les faltaba bastante volumen así que recomendaría parejarlos con un amplificador, yo aún no lo he hecho pero me imagino que les dará una mejora considerable. Tiene un sonido cálido con bajos acentuados. La calidad del micrófono es simplemente increible, nada que envidiar a un micro dedicado de sobremesa, parece de estudio. En cuanto a comodidad, perfectos. No pesan absolutamente nada, y a la vez son muy robustos ya que los materiales son de una calidad sublime. Son tan cómodos que hasta da gustito ponertelos en la cabeza. Los he tenido puestos más de 8h seguidas y ni se notan. Mi única pega es que el mecanismo de bajar y subir el micrófono está muy mal hecho, es decir, baja y sube a tropezones, hay que hacer más fuerza para moverlo de la que se debería. Se nota como que roza y no es nada suave. Molesta un poco pero nada grave. Recomendación absoluta.

Es stimmt was man vom MMX 300 so alles hört und liest, dies ist mit gaaaanz großem Abstand das beste Headset was den Sound, Tragekomfort und die Materialauswahl/Optik anbelangt. Ich hatte schon alle möglichen Headsets im Besitz, von Astro A50/A40 TR, Sony Platinum, HyperX Cloud II oder Logitech. Das MMX übertrifft alle aber auch wirklich alle um Längen. Nein es spielt einfach in einer anderen Liga. Gegnerortung ist hiermit so einfach, dass es fast schon cheaten ist! 😉 Der Bass ist genau in der richtigen Dosis vorhanden und sowohl die Höhen als auch die Tiefen sind so glasklar, dass es im ersten Moment kaum glauben kann wenn man das erste mal dieses Headset aufsetzt. Auch vom Mikrofon kann man nur schwärmen, es klingt deutlich um einiges besser als die Mikrofone der anderen, sagen wir mal "normalen" Headsets. Im Vergleich zu den anderen genannten Headsets liegen die Geräte von Astro auf dem letzen Platz, für mich leider nur Marketing und ansonsten nur heiße Luft! Als ich diese Headsets das erste mal in der Hand hielt war ich sehr enttäuscht, Plastik soweit das Auge reicht... und das soll 300 Euro "wert sein? Es wirkt einfach sehr billig, soviel Plastik hat an einem "High End Headset" nichts aber auch gar nichts verloren! Auch der Klang ist für mich wenig beindruckend. Alles sehr dumpf und blechern für meinen Geschmack. Das beste am Astro A40 TR ist das Mixamp, denn das ist wirklich klasse und holt aus allen Headsets mit 3,5 Klinke-Anschluss einiges raus und lässt sich sehr angenehm bedienen, vor allem Chat und Spiellautstärke getrennt voneinander zu regeln ist sehr gut. Das Sony Platinum macht gar keine so schlechte Figur, denn der 3D Sound ist wirklich sehr gut gelungen, leider aber nur für die Spiele welche diesen Sound unterstützen und das sind zu jetzigen Zeitpunkt wenige. Tragekomfort war dagegen nicht so toll, bei mir drückte das Kopfband relativ stark. An zweiter Stelle ist das HyperX Cloud II und dies ist für mich doch etwas überraschend, wenn man sich mal den Preis vor Auge führt: Preis der Astro Headsets ist ca. 280€, beim Sony liegen wir etwa bei 180€ und beim MMX 300 ist der Name Programm, hier zahlt man ca. 300 Euro. Das HyperX Cloud II hingegen bekommt man etwa für 70€. Sound, Tragekomfort und Optik sind zwar eine Liga unter dem Beyerdynamic aber dies ist dann immer noch ganz weit vor allen anderen genannten Headsets! Fazit: wenn ihr nicht jeden Euro umdrehen müsst und ihr euch das beste Headset kaufen wollt, dann führt kein Weg am Beyerdynamic MMX 300 vorbei. Alle Tests, YouTuber etc. haben recht, denn egal wo, wenn das MMX an den Tests teilnimmt gewinnt es auch immer den 1. Platz und dies vollkommen zu recht!

mic just cant pick up my voice and stutters all the time. the mic itself broke after 1 month and hangs loosly down now. Sound is good to be fair

But still my Bose QC35 way better. Cable is really heavy and annoying when sitting in front of the desk. Microphone is worse than in Senheizer Game One. Ear pads could be bigger, I was touching external part.
