Logitech M187 Ultra Portable Wireless Mouse, 2.4 GHz with USB Receiver, 1000 DPI Optical Tracking, 3-Buttons, PC / Mac / Laptop - Blue

Firstly - It is small - smaller than I had expected at only 11cms from nose to tail on the top, curved part. Anyway, this size suits me as I have fairly small hands, and I'm beginning to think the pain I suffered in the back of my right hand could have been down to my old mouse which was much bigger than this. This one sits just under my fingers with the fattest part (of the mouse) resting in the fleshy part of my hand where fingers meet palm, which is perfect for me. If you have big hands I would not recommend it....it is sold, after all, as a "mini mouse", so take heed. It's light and very responsive, the wheel is quiet and smooth, and the little dongle thing is small and unobtrusive; I use this on my laptop whilst sitting on a fabric covered sofa and have absolutely no problem with it moving over such a surface, Okay, so it doesn't turn itself off, but the little switch on its bottom is easy enough to locate and slide into the Off position. I had expected to see a red light underneath it, like my old mouse, but apparently this is an "invisible optic" so doesn't light up. The packaging was an absolute swine to get into - one of those rigid-slice-your-fingers-to-ribbons plastic things, which I immediately passed to himself whilst I sat back and watched him wrestle with it. I do understand why these items are packaged in this way, but it is not user friendly. One or two reviewers have said they found this flimsy - not my experience. Also that the on/off switch rattles, or is difficult to use - again, this is not the case with mine. All in all a good buy for an effective little beast.

The Logitec M187 is a nice small size to suit my smallish hands, feels comfortable to use and looks and feels quality made. It has and does everything a larger mouse does and is small enough to fit in my pocket when I'm on my travels. I've found it works on most hard smooth surfaces and is especially suitable when space is limited when travelling.

This item arrived very quickly and worked straight out of the box once the battery (which is supplied) had been fitted and the micro USB receiver had been placed into my Acer Chromebooks USB slot. It's smaller than I thought but works well for what I need (I use my Chromebook on a lap tray so not much room for a bigger mouse and I don't get on with track pads very well) and a good affordable price. No software to load, just 'plug and play' and works straight away but limited features unlike some of the bigger relatives in the Logitech range that come with extra buttons and software to load that extends the operability of the device. There is also a little slot inside the mouse for storing the micro USB receiver if you are travelling or don't like to leave it plugged in which is a neat little feature. Overall pleased with this purchase and would recommend if you want a small travel size mouse with no frills and spills at a reasonable price!

I am a writer who likes to work in the local library, in IT-friendly wine bars etc., and I bought this little mouse to use with my notebook-size laptop when I'm in these places. The M187 is small and solid enough to fit in a little pocket in my laptop briefcase, it doesn't have wires to tangle, it has an on/off switch to save battery power and it functions, handles and looks great. I like the fact that it comes with a teeny-sized USB dongle to connect it to the laptop because there's virtually no risk of knocking and damaging it by mistake. However, unless I leave it plugged into the laptop I have to take extra care not to forget to take this tiny item (about the size of thumbnail), with me when I go anywhere, and I do worry that I could so easily lose it. It's a pity the mouse wasn't designed with a little storage slot to put this dongle into when in transit, then it would be super perfect. As it is, it's just perfect.

The mouse itself is exactly what I was looking for as the small size is so convenient to bring on travels. Happy with the USB receiver signal strentgh as well. Can't comment on battery life yet, but it uses a single triple A battery so it probably won't last too long. However, the downside is that Logitech seems to have removed the compatibility with Unifying receivers on these newer models. It was very disappointing as I mainly bought this mouse to use with my existing keyboard which uses Unifying tech. Did some research and true enough the previous m187 (which uses the old logo) does indeed have it. While I do love using this mouse, I've had to get an m325 (pictured on the left) hence the 3 stars.

I used to have exactly the same mouse (Logitech M187) -> a very reliable mini mouse i used for years. Two of the round "feet" got completely worn out (years of constant use!) I had to change the battery a bit too often. I finally thought nothing lasts forever, so, as this mini mouse had been so reliable for so long, the best was to look for a new mini mouse, ready to replace the good old one, when it collapses! Can you be that "faithful" to your dear old mini mouse that fits so perfectly in your hand and is such a pleasure to use? Yes - and so, I wanted to get the same "Logitech M187" mini mouse. This time, there was a choice of colours. I love my new mouse just as much as my old one - "Bonus": the bright & cheerful red colour which makes the mini mouse easy to spot on an untidy desk! I would highly recommend that type of mini mouse. it is rather amazing to see the variety of online prices for the same basic Logitech M187 mini mouse, so, I would suggest you spend a bit of time to find the best possible price! I'm so happy the best price for this red Logitech M187 wireless Mini Mouse, was (at the time I bought it) the cheapest! PS When you need to remove the nano receiver (I remove it when travelling), you can store it inside the mouse where it can't be lost!

I wanted a small mouse to go into my backpack along with my Windows Tablet. The tablet has a keyboard with a trackpad which worked fine - but I like the feel of a mouse. Logitech is a great brand and I read that this was small; which was what I was looking for. The mouse is indeed on the smaller size; not too small to make it difficult to use; but small enough to not take up much space. As this is wireless it has a tiny dongle with it; this works plug and play in the USB which is great. Best bit is; when finished you can put this dongle inside the batter compartment of the mouse (there is a little space for it) meaning it doesn't get lost. The mouse works very well on both a Windows machine and Mac. Feeling is good. Tracks very well with not stutters or jumps. Mouse buttons responsive. Over all a great little mouse to use with your laptops.
