If you replace damaged shingles this is a must have tool. not good for removing old roofing nails, but excellent for getting the new roofing nail in the correct spot with out damaging the above shingle.

Works great for me.
Should have bought one of these years ago. I recommend after you've driven the nail down as far as it will go, pull the tool back to get the nail head out of the slot then put the tool over the nail and hit it again to drive the head down all the way.
