Should this get hot after some usage on my golf cart?

It is a continuous duty relay, Powered to its closed postion, it will get warm as it is placed in operation due to amperage flowing thru the coil from the battery to pull in the contact plate. Not sure what the duty cycle of the coil is rated for. That would a guestion for the manufacture to answer. My replacement was for a three pole and what you are questioning is a normal state when used in you configuration i.e. golf cart..
