Fresh Quail Eggs, 1 x 18 Eggs

Good product. I purchased 2 trays and only lost 2 eggs when I boiled them. They were a bit footerly to peel, but once I developed a good enough technique, they were done in no time. I would definitely recommend and would use again without any hesitation. Delivery was excellent and contents were really well packaged.

Arrived very quickly well packaged and all intact. Good use by date. Lovely delicate creamy yolk when cooked. I use them in salads and also to make mini scotch eggs. Would highly recommend.

I bought these because the ones I normally get were unavailable. The quality was not as good, very thin shells which cracked while cooking. This meant that about one third were unusable for the purpose. Will not be buying again.

Eggs smashed

Despite what looked like plenty of good packaging, I found on opening the box that one egg was broken. When I came to use the remaining eggs (well within their use by date) I put them into cold water first to test for freshness and three immediately floated, meaning they were bad, so these were discarded. This meant that four of the eggs were wasted. The ones that remained were tasty enough, but I was disappointed overall at the wastage, given the cost involved.
