Apple iPad, OtterBox Defender Series rugged, drop protective case with multi-position cover/stand for iPad 5th/6th generation 9.7" (inch) - Black (77-55876)

I always choose OtterBox for my iPhones for their superb durability and ruggedness. So choosing this for my IPad was a no brainier. Normal OtterBox quality but with the added bonus of the cover/stand. Great for the kids as it’s drop proof and comes with inbuilt screen protector. And great for travelling as you can protect it with the lid and use the stand to watch movies etc. More expensive than a lot of other cases but well worth it.

Been a few weeks now since xmas, this was a replacement for a gumdrop case that hasnt even lasted a year, previous gumdrop lasted 6 so was dissapointed with quality given price. Id had a defender case on an old phone that took a lot of beating, dropped on concrete at stables etc so, thought id give it a bash for my daughters ipad. Compared to the gumdrop its akready holding up well as by now the gumdrop charger cover was already torn off with minimal wear/use, not the defender. I love the extra protection the top cover/stand gives too when its on the front when ipad isnt being used. Its a lot sleeker and lughter than the gumdrop we think too and of course much better quality. Will see as time goes on but impressed up to now.

Needed a really robust case for my daughter's iPad 2017 which she uses at school, this certainly hits the mark. Found it very easy to put on. We did add a glass screen protector first, to give the iPad some added protection, and this didn't cause any issues with the case. The case is very solid, although does add some weight, and comes with a proper lid, which doubles as the stand. It is one of the very few case the had a lid, rather than a flap. My daughter's school has such faith in these cases, that if you drop your iPad and it breaks while in the case, they will replace the iPad it free of charge. We purchased a cheaper case first and it was nowhere near as good as this one. It's definitely worth payimg the extra for this case.

This is a very sturdy case. Really happy with the build quality and protection it provides. Worth the extra money. The front cover works well as a stand too.

This Otterbox case was purchased to protect an iPad for use by children in an educational environment. It comes in two parts - a sturdy case that encloses the iPad, and a separate 'lid' that also acts as a stand for the encased iPad. The main case is made of a soft-feel rigid plastic and includes a plastic shield to protect the iPad screen while still allowing touchscreen functions (with finger or soft-tip stylus pen) and access to the main control button. The lid is of hard plastic and clips over the front of the case for storage, but also includes an internal hinged stand against which the iPad can be propped in use. Unfortunately the stand is not adjustable; it allows only two possible angles for viewing the screen, one of which is almost perpendicular. Propped up on the stand in portrait orientation the iPad feels rather unstable. All buttons on the encased iPad work correctly but can feel a bit stiff. There are cut-outs for front and rear cameras, mics and speakers. Although the Lightning port has an integral cover, the various cut-outs could allow dirt or water to enter the case, so this is not a waterproof solution. Assembling the main 2-part iPad case is relatively straightforward if instructions are followed carefully, but it can be quite a fiddly process. Opening the case to extract the iPad is equally fiddly. So I would not recommended this for anyone who needs to remove the iPad from this case frequently. However, the iPad can be re-charged without removing it from the case. The Otterbox case does add significant weight to the iPad when using it as a hand-held tablet. The stand in the lid is useful but limited and is perhaps one of the weakest features of the case from a usability aspect. On the whole the case seems very robust and should protect an iPad from all but extremely rough handling, though it probably wouldn't meet industrial-grade requirements.

Really happy with the case a have always used otterbox. A got his case for the iPad 9.7 the 6 Generation and it fits so well a like the fact the stand for the case when ipad is not in use go’s over the screen for more protection and there’s only a space for the Apple Pencil. Was unhappy that it wasn’t delivered in the otterbox box for the case, but the case is genuine a have been in contact with amazon

Awesome product. Bought for pro-audio use. Very pleased with how sturdy this is. Paired with a slimline 3.5mm plug extension to fit through the (relatively) narrow headphone jack port for connecting to our sound desk this is a super solution to deal with the rough and tumble of gigging. Ace purchase.

This is my second iPad Otterbox - being a bit rough with my electronics the Otterbox came out top on a couple of days research and comparison. The unit keeps my IPad Air2 in a pristine condition, is rugged and I think quite stylish. I like the system so much that I have Otterbox protecting my iphone. Recommend.

Super Stabiles Teil! Hält das Pad sicher umschlossen. Ich hatte anfangs den verdacht die Frontfolie würde die Bedienung einschränken - das tut sie aber überhaupt nicht. Auch der Halter für den Stift in der Fronthülle ist toll. Endlich muss ich nicht mehr ständig nach ihm suchen. Das Pad hat so schon nun mehrerer Stürze auf der Baustelle überstanden und ich bin froh die Hülle noch vor Baubeginn gewechselt zu haben. Das Pad wäre mit der Alten Hülle sicher schon Schrott.

Desde luego, queda como un guante, muy protegido, la pantalla y el botón home quedan aislados de cualquier mota de polvo y grasa de los dedos a obtener la película protectora. Es bastante voluminosa y con materiales a la altura, lo recomiendo sin duda alguna, un gran plus de protección para tu iPad!

I’ve been using this case for a while now, and I must say it’s impressively durable. Investing in a quality case to protect expensive equipment just makes sense. After all, you wouldn’t leave any valuable possession unprotected, right? This case lives up to its promise and has been a reliable shield for my gear. However, there’s one small hiccup: the rubber flap covering the charging port. While it serves its purpose well, getting your finger underneath to open it can be a bit of a struggle. It’s a minor inconvenience, but worth noting. Overall, this case delivers on its advertised features and outperforms the ones I’ve used in the past. If you’re looking for solid protection, this is a worthy choice. Just be prepared for that stubborn little flap!

Super produit de qualité, cette coque complète est parfaitement ajustée pour mon IPad 6ième génération ! La protection d’écran fait partie intégrante de la coque et ne gène en rien à la réactivité de l’écran ! Je recommande ce produit pour ceux qui recherchent une coque de protection intégrale de qualité !
