Sturdy, stainless steel entry-level pressure cooker
Sturdy, good quality pressure cooker. It's the first one that I have ever bought. It arrived promptly with the packaging intact. It is easy to use and clean but note that it is not to be cleaned in a dishwasher. It is very effective in terms of cooking beans / chickpeas in no time. There are two things that could be improved somewhat. 1. The plastic knob on the lid that controls the amount of pressure in the pot is a bit flimsy and has fallen off a few times. It feels like it's made of cheap plastic. It's easy to put back on in any case and easy to clean as a separate part. 2. The plastic / silicone seal for the lid also feels a little insubstantial. This is my first pressure cooker so I don't have a lot to compare it to. The rest of the pot is excellent and very sturdy. I was concerned about the base that has an aluminium component but I think that the aluminium is encapsulated in steel so that aluminium does not come into contact with your food. The instruction manual is very comprehensive and useful. There is a strange smell when using the pot for the first time and the manual does recommend boiling some water in it first. After that, the smell does go and food tastes brilliant! Some steam can escape using the highest pressure setting for the pot but I think this may be normal. I would definitely recommend this product as an entry level pressure cooker that was good value for money and does the job.

Tower Pressure cooker
Using a pressure cooker will save money and time. To cook vegetables takes only 4 to 6 minutes and only 0.5 to 0.75 pints of water used which collects all the vitamins form the vegetables and can be used to make the gravy. Cooking with the pressure cooker enables the cooker to continue cooking when the steam pressure has been reached and hence the vapour is contained in the cooker and not released to the kitchen, causing condensation. What is missing from the Tower pressure cooker is the bottom steamer plate. This sits on the bottom above the water and allows potatoes to sit on this and the vegetable basket can sit on top with the green vegetables and sliced carrots. The steamer tray can be bought as an extra for a couple of pounds on Amazon. Also the steam basket is now more shallow and vegetables are not as secure as with the previous deeper basket. I have kept my old baskets and these can be stacked for larger families. The Tower pressure cooker is easy to use and I would recommend it for all families that want to reduce cooking time, save energy, stop kitchen condensation and retain all cooking vegetable juice for sauces and gravy.

Easy to use and a really good price
My main reason for purchasing was in order to sterilise brewing equipment, but I've also used it to cook chicken stock far quicker than usual :-) I was impressed with the packaging and construction quality on this: an important factor when you consider that it's basically a pressurised container full of superheated steam on your gas hob. Using the cooker was pretty straightforward: it took me a little while to realise that the bent piece of stainless steel rod is actually a support that you use to keep the steamer basket above the level of the boiling water! It's specified at 14.5 PSI on the higher setting and 10.5 PSI on the lower, which gives operating temperatures of about 120 and 115 degrees C respectively; so the higher setting is ideal for sterilising items after giving them a thorough clean first.

Satisfied
I was confused after seeing the negative reviews but then received it in a good condition. Cooked beef for the first time and followed all the instruction in the manual book especially the water level instruction. After 15-20 minutes the beef was tender and juicy. Easy to clean, cooks faster than usual and food tastes good. Looks expensive and sustainable.

Very disappointing, stopped working after second use
Very disappointing, stopped working after second use I was really looking forward to using this pressure cooker, but unfortunately it has been a huge disappointment. After only the second use, it stopped building pressure properly. The dial does not run correctly and will not lock into position to maintain pressure, making the cooker unusable. A pressure cooker needs to be reliable and safe, and this one simply isn’t. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality and would not recommend purchasing — definitely not worth the money.

Awesome pot
Just realised I had bought this in Oct 2021 - 4 years ago. It's a really awesome pot. I've never had any complaints with it and it just does what it says on the tin. The plastic pressure valve dropped out in the dishwasher on the last wash and between the kids and the dog (? 😁) it now has bite marks on it and no longer useful. So I'm looking to replace just that one bit but otherwise the pot still looks and works like brand new.
