As other buyers...I read lots of reviews as wanted to make sure I was buying something that worked (to put my impending Autumn spider 🕷 influx fears at ease!!) and that it didn't hurt said creatures or any other crawlies..!! Well ..this bug vacuum catcher fits the bill..!! It's worked wonders so far..!! I've already popped out the same dozy wasp 6 times, along with 2 medium sized spiders and several flies..!! It's easy to put together (I have dexterity issues), and seems to be substantially made. The fact I can now easily reach to get to the top of the window to vacuum a fly or two..and was no effort to dislodge a spider sitting on top of the curtains...I think it's amazing..! Super pleased I bought it. Almost feel like Luke Skywalker when using it...!! You'll see what I mean if you buy one. The creepy culprits, with a little shake of the catcher...just find their way out the other end unharmed. The cap doesn't fit over the smaller nozzle, but I've found it fine to just hold it over, until you've got to a door or open window to release I highly recommend..and feel I can now sit back and enjoy Autumn 🍂

I think this might be the best thing I've ever ordered. It is a little overpriced because it's clearly very cheaply made, but somehow it's also worth every penny. I can capture bugs at arms length and set them free outside. I've even caught flies and wasps. It's not the strongest suction and has a little trouble if the spider is clinging to a web or the flying insect is moving fast, but overall it does the job. You do need the little funnel on the end otherwise it's too weak. But I can't rate it lower than 5*s because of how useful it's been overall!

Works! Can now remove spiders, ladybirds, bugsvetc and release them outside. Great idea.

purchased to replace one I have had for years was time to replace it ,,does the job perfectly could not do without one , easy to set up ,easy to catch spider, even wasps, powerful

Very effective and good value for money

I’ve had this for about a month now and bought it mainly to deal with spiders in the house. Unfortunately, the suction is very weak and it doesn’t work at all on medium or large spiders. They just walk away like nothing’s happening. That said, it has been pretty handy for smaller insects. Flies, moths, and similar bugs can be caught and released without too much hassle, though you do need to get very close to them, almost right on top of them, for it to work. For £18 I expected it to be better at its main job, so it feels a bit overpriced.

I live in the country and get a lot of spiders and other insects coming in through the windows - particularly in the summer when they are open most of the time. I was really proficient using the glass and card method but this little spidey catcher is fantastic. The mesh is very fine so you can even catch tiny spiders without losing them through the holes as well as larger ones. The only disadvantage is that it is not rechargeable; other than that I just love it. It's so much easier than rushing for a glass and a bit of card and then trying to get in the right position for capture. I have never really used the extension tube but I do usually use the nozzle - even big spiders can be vacuumed up without injury. If you have to walk somewhere to let the beastie out you can use the cap which is provided, if you aren't scared of spiders you can just put your finger over the nozzle or you can just carry it vertically and tap the tube as required just to shake them down to the bottom again. Equally you can just give it a quick burst of vacuum to bring them back to the mesh. I have had no problem with the tubes being loose and I usually just check if the spiders are on or near the mesh and take the tube apart from the handle to let them out. If I'm upstairs I open the window wide enough to be able to hold the spider catcher away from the windowsill and just detach the tube from the handle and they drop down. It's really good for catching moths (without injury) which sit conveniently on a surface without moving or bees and wasps that don't move quickly on windows. If they could bring out the same item but with the ability to recharge the battery it would be amazing. I do think that it takes a little while to really get to know how to use it to the best of its ability but once you've got the hand of it then Bob's your uncle!! I did buy a rechargeable one - a different make - and it was total rubbish. I don't like spiders or other insects in the house and so I go round every night before bed, checking for spiders and ejecting them.

It does not work at all, suction is absolutely rubbish, I tried to catch a tiny spider on the wall and it did not catch it. Does not work and I can’t return it as I lost the box it came in. Maybe I just got a dud one as reviews say it works and that’s why I purchased it based on the reviews.

Fa quello che promette. Discreta potenza. Io lo ho acquistato sopratutto per aspirare le cimici che in certi periodi dell'anno aprendo le finestre me le ritrovo tra le scanalature del telaio. Non so la durata della pila in quanto l'ho acquistato da poco

Ich hasse Spinnen, kann und will sie aber nicht töten. Dieser Insekrensauger ist meine Rettung. Das Rohr ist lang genug, sodass ich nicht zu nahe ran muss. Danach aufdrehen und schon ist die Spinne (auch große) eingesaugt. Sie wird duch den Luftstrom festgehalten, bis man den Sauger abdreht. Dann kann sie unbeschadet den Sauger verlassen. Tolles Ding! Für andere Insekten hab ich es nicht nicht probiert!

Leistung extrem schwach. Bekommt nicht mal eine Fliege von der Scheibe aus 3 cm Entfernung. Damit unbrauchbar.
