Reinforced Magnetic Thermal Insulated Door Curtain,Thicker Layered Fabric

We live in Arizona in an older house that doesn’t have ac in the laundry room, but the laundry room isn’t closed off or anything so it would heat up the whole house. We bought this to divide the spaces and to try to keep the hot air out and it’s actually incredible how well it works! We have had it almost a year and it had kept both the heat and cool out no matter what time of year! As far as durability it has held up so great despite me and my two toddlers using it (they literally run through it and yank on it) all day! I would absolutely recommend this and I would buy it again immediately if something happened to it

I bought this to cover the open doorway without a door to make another room on the other side. I wanted a rather opaque curtain so that I can sleep behind it while the light is still on at the other side. I was using a one piece curtain prior and going through it was a bit of a pain. The magnetic latch will make it easier to go through and closes itself automatically. The installation is pretty straight forward. Thanks to the other reviewers that mentioned that the quality of the adhesive is a bit suspect, I peeled off the adhesive carefully so that I do not rip them off and have to struggle to get the rest off. I managed to install the whole thing by myself. Don't forget to put on the loop that holds the curtain open if you want to utilize it during this procedure. The opening on my doorway is smaller width-wise than the curtain size so I have to fold the top to fit per recommendation of the manual. For the height, however, there is no prescribed way to reduce the length of the curtain. You can't fold it vertically as the magnet pieces are long and can't be folded easily. So, make sure your doorway height is the correct height for the curtain. I just let it lie long on the floor and it still works just fine. Just don't step on them while trying to go through. The Velcro is pretty nice and sticks pretty well. It even came with a tool to press it to the other side so you don't get finger burn while pressing. The color is a bit bland though. From the other side it looks like I just closed the doorway with duct tape. But I know it before purchasing so I won't be deducting points from it. As for the opacity, if I turn off the light on one side, I can tell if the light is on at the other side. This is good so I know if I need to turn off the light before going to bed. Other than that, it's perfectly opaque. The material is a nice clothlike feel, not plasticky. The workmanship could be neater. The magnets are slightly lopsided. However, it still works. Overall, I like it. If you care for the visual, you may want to look at different curtains. But for the utility, this works.

I purchased this door curtain for my laundry room and my back door for the heat that comes. The curtain certainly does control the temperature keeping the area mainted. The quality of curtain is good as well as the closure it snaps back as it is magnetic. Very simple to use and also make sure to measure the needed area. It does work well on a door and not a doorway. Overall I'm pleased.

Make sure to check for all the necessary pieces! Mine was missing one of the Velcro ties to hold the curtains open, and I didn't notice until I had already stuck everything to the door frame. It isn't possible to get replacement parts so I had to have Amazon replace the whole item to get what I needed. As is frequently the case with Amazon products these days, the instructions were clearly written in another language and Google Translated into English. Largely because of this, the steps to get the curtains installed are not very detailed or easy to understand. All of that to say, once I got it installed I was impressed at how well it functions. The magnets in the curtains work very well to hold the two sides together. When closed, the curtains block light extremely well. They don't really block sound, but that's not mainly what I needed them for. So far a few weeks in, they seem to be doing a good job of blocking drafts and keeping heat in the room I installed them in. As the winter approaches I will have plenty of opportunity to test further but as of now I am satisfied with the purchase!

I was super skeptical since this is so inexpensive and there weren’t really reviews on it, but I have a heavy hard to move bedroom door and I was about to get surgery on both of my wrists which meant I wouldn’t be able to do anything with my hands for at least a couple weeks. I was panicking trying to find a solution short of just not having any bedroom door when I thought about looking for a magnetic curtain so I could just basically walk into it and it’d open and close behind me. And it could not have been a better problem solution! The whole middle has magnets the whole way down and they do easily let you walk through without using your hands and it re-closes right after you walk through it. It comes with super super strong mounting tape with a wicked strong Velcro backing to tape the backing to the wall or door frame and then attach the curtain’s outer Velcro sides and it absolutely strongly holds. They send you a little box of what seem like really strong industrial push pins to push through the Velcro sides to ensure a super strong hold….this was a huge game changer for my surgery recovery I know I would’ve been absolutely miserable had I not gotten it. My cats were able to quickly figure out to just slip right through under the end of the mats a couple inches above the floor without any problems.( I was worried they weren’t big enough to break through the magnets) And for an extra bonus, this curtain insulates the air conditioning in my bedroom WAY better than my old door did. I was shocked when I came back to my room after not being in her for several hours and assuming most of the cold air escaped through the curtain but I was completely wrong, it was so nice and perfectly cold in here! And I’m sure it’ll do the same thing with heat too. If you have hand injuries, or a tight sPace for your door to swing open or you just idk don’t like opening and closing heavy doors-get this!! You definitely won’t regret it

There is a section of my two-story house that is off of the main heating system, though the two rooms there have baseboard heaters. We don't really use those rooms, but during our winter bathroom renovations, the contractors put our toilet in one of those rooms to be able to more easily work on other parts of the bathroom. Since we're in the upper Midwest, this meant heating that room a bit was necessary, but we know that section of the house is not well insulated and didn't want to drain our money heating the whole area. This curtain is amazing and did its job well. On one side of the curtain, a dish of water I left out to test the hallway's chill ended up completely frozen to solid ice in a couple of hours. On the other side of the curtain, it was a nice and cozy temperature. It also works as a nice sound insulator: the tile guy put his wet saw in that room and unless he left the curtain open, the sound was definitely less intense. Only real downsides to this are: * The adhesive is not great. Part of the wall we used it on is brick, so we couldn't make use of the included tacks there. If your wall or ceiling is largely made of something difficult to put a nail or screw into, don't depend on this adhesive alone to help. The Velcro itself, however, is quite strong (much stronger than the adhesive—tugging on the Velcro will peel the curtain off the wall unless it is secured with tacks or nails). * The adhesive was also a bit tricky to peel and kept sticking onto the sides of the protective backing/release liner. Peeling somewhat slowly was helpful, but not enough to prevent the issue from reoccurring. For me, those were minor inconveniences compared to the benefits of this product overall.

I purchased two of these curtains simultaneously to cover doorways in my apartment off my living room. The curtains arrived in one box, each in separate zipper bags. Only one bag contained the listed box of tack/pins, and not the other. Since I have not had to use these tacks, it's a small matter. THE GOOD: The curtains themselves are thick and insulated. Once I effectively sealed off my living room, the temperature and humidity were immediately affected! In the past, my air conditioner worked inefficiently because it was forced to cool the entire area, including my kitchen and a hallway, which is barely used. Since I have sealed off the hall and kitchen, the air conditioner only took moments to reach its set temperature and stop. This had not happened before! I was overjoyed. In just one month I am positive these curtains will have paid for themselves in energy savings. The magnets are quite strong and snap together very quickly and seal firmly. THE BAD: The adhesive/velcro tape that accompanies these curtains suck! I cannot put it any nicer. Even while peeling off the tape slowly and evenly, the tape paper tears and I had a heck of a time starting over and picking at the paper to make sure it all peeled off! I even tried peeling in short measurements of less than a foot and it still gave me the same problem. Very frustrating. And both sets of tape from each curtain did the same thing, so it's clear the tape is of dismal quality. Later I will supply photos to show the issue more clearly. OVERALL: Despite the fair-to-middling rating, I must say I am satisfied with the purchase. The curtains are extremely well insulated and have done an admirable job keeping the cold in one room where it is needed and not cooling down a large kitchen and a barely-used hallway. The one recommendation I would make is not using their tape and purchasing better quality adhesive/velcro tape of the same size at a good hardware store.

My kitchen door opens to my non-insulated laundry room and garage. Unfortunately my pets always paw to have the door open making it impossible to keep the house warm. After last months $500 heating bill, I knew I had to do something. Started researching “door curtain” thinking at least some full length curtains would help a little; then I came across this product. I figured for $25 it was worth a try. I have been so pleased with this. Thick material, heavy duty Velcro and magnets, it works like a charm. Both my dog and cat can easily get through it. But it goes right closed against because of the magnets. My two suggestions would be to order up a size, (my door is 32 and the curtain seemed a little small in width. Perfect in height). Also the Velcro is VERY adhesive. I don’t mind because my laundry room is going to need new paint anyway, but my guess is the paint is coming off the trim when the Velcro does. Not a big deal for me, just something for others to consider. All and all this is an excellent amazing curtain. I’m shocked at the insulation it provides and how easy it was to install and for my pets to use.

Does what the descriptions say. Looks nice. Measurements are accurate as well, I got 41x84 inches but my measuring tape might be off. Take your time when installing it (follow instructions carefully!), there isn't much extra velcro tape if you mess up, just enough to do the door frame once pretty much, the inside of my doorframe is 33x80 inches. My door trim isn't flat which I was concerned about but the velcro tape stuck well and is holding. It very much helps hold the heat in a room which is why I bought it. Between this and plastic insulation on the window frames: what a difference! The velcro tape will definitely rip paint off the wall if/when it comes down, it's very sticky. My cat was able to figure it out quickly as well. Put the kitty one one side and shook the treat bag on the other, opened it slowly by hand the first time to show him that it opens then he started pushing it open with his paws and face, no problem. Took 5 mins and a few treats.

I have been using this everyday for over a year ...maybe two now, I forget. I got it so my cat can run in and out but my bedroom stays cool with A/C and its wonderful. No complaints. I think it may pull off the paint when i have to take it down, but I will just repaint and its worth it because I am not having to restick it all the time.
