I bought this book for my youngest grandson. I liked that the book encourages young readers to answer detailed questions about a passage that they have read. It is very important to understand what you read in regard to the details and the author's message of a passage. My grandson's reading scores improved significantly at his school after he completed the exercises. But I admit that I had to strongly encourage him to read the passages and answer the questions.

This is a very helpful tool that helped my son during summer break. My son did not have much of a regression as opposed to other kids. This workbook kept him engaged.

Stories are a bit short. We used these for summer, to keep up on reading comprehension. Worked great, will purchase again for next summer.
