These measuring cups are super cool. Solid. Heavy. Sturdy. Sleek. Overall - exactly what I was looking for. Something with enough heft where the handles won't break when scooping something with a little more substance to it. Would I use it to scoop hard ice cream? Probably not. But these are certainly professional grade and I would use these in industrial/restaurant industry cooking. You pay for what you get - I can't decide if the $45 price tag is because they are industrial and sturdy, or because they are name brand "Sur La Table".... or both. But would I rather spend $15 on something with a plastic handle that will break in a year? Absolutely not. $45 isn't insanely crazy, but it might make some gun-shy. The added $8.99 for shipping really made it sting even more. When these suckers went on sale for $36.75, I knew the universe was trying to give me a sign. $36.75 + $8.99 (shipping) + $4.06 (tax) = $49.80 For just under $50 - thumbs up! If you are looking for something that will hold up to repeated use, heavy scooping, or multiple users - these are the ones. They look great and they will (hopefully) hold up. Plus, yes - they ARE Sur La table...so BRAND FLEX! If you just need basic scooping, these are probably overkill. But as someone who worked in restaurant kitchens for almost 20 years - I love them and I have no regrets.

These are extremely well made and should last for many years. Handles do not bend like some other well reviewed measures. The only possible negative js that the metal edges feel a bit sharp and are not polished.

I ordered these because I liked how they appear to be made from 1 mold-and extra thick so the handles will not bend. I was not disappointed when they arrived. They are heavy duty, and should last us a lifetime. My husband, who is a metal worker/welder, is so impressed with these everytime he holds one. They are incredibly high quality. My goal was to spend a bit more money and purchase a set that will last us our lifetime. These are it. Highly recommend.

Only ones I've found so far that don't have a bolt or riveted handle where food can get stuck in a crack. Had them over a year and still pristine!

Although a bit pricey, these are of excellent quality. Each cup is made of heavy gauge stainless steel. They are each one solid piece; the handles will not break off. There are no marks to read. The amount is embossed into the handle. Each cup holds exactly the amount noted. These things are solid, and should last a lifetime.
