Lateral Thinking Puzzlers

This is a slim book but it’s got quite a range - from the quite well known lateral thinking puzzles to the real stumpers. I like these, they get my brain firing off in all sorts of different directions so they’re great as I’m convalescing and make a welcome change from daytime tv or endless books. Reasonably good value too.

It’s okay, half the puzzles have logic, the other half are impossible, not because they are too hard, you can come up with what you believe is a decent answer, when you then read the real answer it’s so obscure and ridiculous. We tried it with a group of 8 at Christmas, quite often we felt one of our answers was far better than the one in the book.Spoiler Alert:A man walks into an empty house, he walks into a room, he holds his arms in the air, turns around, smiles and walks out the room, why?We guessed there was a cardboard cut out of a man holding a gun, when he realised it was cardboard he smiled and leftThe correct answer was that the guy was a thief, he was going to burglar the house, he walked into a room with a parrot who told him to stick them up, he turned around saw it was a parrot smiled and left.If I’d have picked this book up in a shop and scanned over a couple of the riddles and answers it would have remained on the shelf

I personally am not a Lateral thinking person! I am using these booksto engage with my relatives who are - l write out 2/3 puzzles perletter to them- then my next letter l give them the answer once theyhave given me their answers! Great fun as sometimes they have gotit correct other times they like me have the wrong answer🤣! Not sureif that's allowed with the books - but it works a treat for us👍.My Brain Box gets as crossed eyed as l do🤯. The book wasn't what i expected as I'd bought it for my son so I returned it however this is not a reflection on the content

It was alright, you have no choice but to look at the answers for the puzzles and the answers seem a bit subjective but its an alright book.

The puzzles are not the easiest or most conventional I have come across. It makes for a good coffee table book for when friends come around.

Bought this for parents , to keep their minds busy.,They love it, still using it.

Good fun. We are enjoying it.
