signal and sensor need to practically touch each other for the ring to work

I love it, helped me for my business. Only problem: it stopped working within 3 week. IDK the exact issue, but it can be battery. How can the battery be dead that soon?

I purchased the set of 2 sensors and 2 chimes for my shop. I pulled the battery tab from each sensor to activate the sensors, then installed on the front main entry door and the other on the shipping/receiving door. I plugged in one chime in the back office area and the other in the warehouse. BAM, it all works. I should add the main entrance sensor is about 100 feet to the chime in the warehouse with multiple walls in between and it works perfectly. Each sensor sounds both chimes which I really like. I then adjusted the chimes type and the volume level. You can turn the volume off as well. This is a completely independent wireless system with no connection to WiFi. Very quick and simple to install. Lastly, the sensors do have a watch type battery. I have no idea how long they will last, but I imagine they will last for months before needing a battery replacement.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product was reasonably priced - especially during Amazon Prime Days; and there are 2 units....What's pictured and described is absolutely no where near what I actually received. For instance, it shows and says that the receiver has a LED light on the top...this is simply not true; also it provides instructions on how to change the battery, but as you can see in the second photo, this device does not take batteries at all. The instructions were completely poorly written and hard to understand, mostly because the instructions are NOT the instructions what's in the box. I'm so disappointed because I really needed this device ASAP. Value for money: Very reasonably priced - especially during Amazon Prime Days and there are 2 units.

We used these on the kids door so when they got up at night we knew they left their rooms, now we use them on our basement windows as a cheap security alarm

Lol, so i installed a single transmitted with 2 receivers. One of the receivers started to randomly activate and rotate through all of the available chimes at full volume in about a day.... So we had to unplug it... The second one laster for about 1.5 weeks before it started to do the same thing.... Pure garbage. You get what you pay for.
