Good device (I think) ... Did not work with Chromeboxes (which was purpose of order) but seems to be fine with Mac/PC
Good product. Satisfied description. Did not meet our needs. Will not work with Chromeboxes. Not sure if its compatibility or maybe the Chromeboxes don't have enough vRAM. Works fine with Mac and PC that we tried.

Does not work!
I am an IT guy, I deal with lot's of hardware and other PC components everyday, install, repair and remove. This product clearly says that it works for MAC and anything newer than version 10.6. I've installed it's software on a 10.9.3 Maverick, first I've tried the driver for Snow Leopard and Tiger, then I've tried the one for Snow Leopard only. (THERE ARE 2 DRIVERS COMING and they do not tell you which one to use) Even though I did remove the 1st driver via driver uninstall script, second driver did not work neither. It asks for a restart after every operation (ON A MAC this is not common, on Windows you'd understand that.) I recommend no one to buy this product that you need to troubleshoot and then send back. I simply hate people that writes that works when it does not. If an IT guy having hard time to get it to work, how will normal users work this? Either update and write it does not work with Maverick or documents the steps. Now I have to return this...

I have a mac mini and needed to get that ...
I have a mac mini and needed to get that 3rd monitor working so I could use my Mac in the same way I had become used to working on my PC. This was able to extend my mac mini just enough to get be going. It's straight forward and a quick set up. The price isn't too much. I have seen less sold for more. Get it if you need to run another monitor and your hardware is limited but you have an extra USB port available.

See2 Extreme Dont Buy
Tritton SEE2 Xtreme, USB to DVI or VGA External Video Card, 1920x1200 resolution I purchased this device to "easily" connect another monitor to my PC. The second monitor had a VGA plug, but as the SEE2 Extreme came with an adapter plug I thought that there would be no problems??? I installed the software - a long process, which took several tries as it was not recognised, then the second monitor was not recognised. I uninstalled and re-installed a few times and still had problems. I went to the Tritton website to find some help. This site wasnt the easiest to navigate, and no good advice to solve my issues. I did contact Tritton through the site but NO response. Eventually I tried a download driver for another more basic model, the See2 USB SVGA adapter and with this I had better luck - at least it recognised the 2nd monitor. This was after a couple of installs and plugging the device in and out a few times. I now have the second monitor working, BUT whenever the PC goes into "sleep" mode, or after a reboot, I have to reset the display settings again so that the second monitor is at the same resolution as the main monitor. Eventually got the monitor to work without altering displays, but later on it caused more problems with the entire display blacking out. For a "device" that is almost $90 I would have expected it to work straight out of the box without all the installation difficulties that I had. To make matters worse no response from Tritton. The company needs to revise the software issues. I would not recommend this product until it is easier to install. I am still waiting for a response from Tritton - not a good advertisement for their products. After many more problems, wasted time in trying to uninstall, reinstall, trying to contact tech support- again with no response, and not getting the device to work I have finally given up. I am purchasing another device. This is a waste of time and money

Does not work well in OSX
This device worked some of the time, but it was extremely flaky, at least in OSX (never tried it on a windows box). For just one example, after the computer was turned off over the weekend, I had to fight with the see2extreme for 30 mins every Monday morning, shutting down, disconnecting, rebooting, reconnecting, until eventually it would work. The see2extreme also flat did not work with an Apple Cinema display. Also, do not EVER disconnect the see2extreme while the computer is on. You will be in for a world of driver uninstallation, rebooting, driver reinstallation--repeat ad nauseum. I returned the see2extreme and bought an IOGear USB dvi adapter. So far, the IOGear has performed much better. Not only is the IOGear better behaved, but the screen refresh rate with the IOGear is noticeably better. I've only had the IOGear for a day, so hopefully it will keep behaving itself...

Works Great on Mac Book Pro
First of all - If you are using this on a Mac, you need to make sure that you have the latest drivers from the Tritton website. Having said that, I am running 2 of these off my mac book pro, and have been doing so for 6 months. It works awesome. Add the mini-display port and I've got four screens on my desk. I can't imagine going back. There are a couple of things to remember. Extra graphics requires extra processing... running 4 monitors, in my case, takes a bit of horsepower. It's just the way it is. I can not imagine this working well on older systems. The latest drivers have not quite conquered sleep issues --- so that might be a bit of an inconvenience. However, you can't beat the price for turning your macbook into a 4 headed beast. I use it every day all day long. The only problem that I have is trying to decide if I want to go for 5 screens.

Sweet!
I bought this so netbooks without an external VGA or HDMI port could use a large shared monitor. Easy as pie. Nice crisp display at high resolutions. We just leave the device attached to the monitor and plug it into the USB port of whatever computer needs to use it. I think there are additional presentation capabilities I haven't used. For my needs, this is a perfect fit.

The supplier confirms that drivers for Windows 8 and above are not available. Do not buy this product unless your OS is Windows 7 or below.

Worthless; no Windows 10 support and manufacturer has ended business. Go for Startech!
