2-Button 5-Pin Power Recliner Hand Control Replacement

I have (4) reclining sections in a large sofa. This unit has been a reliable repair part for (2) original units that failed after many years. I now keep one on hand for whenever the next original unit gives out. Highly recommend if it's a fit for your recliner. Note: replacement is basic and straightforward.

This Recliner Switch with 2 Buttons was very easy to install. It is very well made with a strong plastic material. For the installation, all that was needed was to remove the defective switch and substitute it with this one. Fit perfectly onto my recliner which I did myself with no experience. This switch allowed me to do this myself, saving me a lot of money for a furniture technician. Works perfectly reclining my chair and looks great.

Arrived late, but was the correct item to repair the intermittent switch on my love seat.

The switch was fairly easy to install; the mounting was perfect. I have a Flexsteel recliner, it takes a straight connector. The 90 connector works just needed to use tape to ensure it won't come apart. The cable was just the right length. Note how the replaced cable was secured to keep it away from the moving parts.

This was the perfect replacement switch on our electric Flexsteel recliner. The actual installation part took a while as you have to run the wiring correctly so it won't interfere with the reclining chair mechanism, but it fit perfectly and the plug pins matched. Luckily for us, we found out about it and that it could be bought on Amazon by watching a YouTube video. Before that, we called the manufacturer and was referred to a furniture warranty repair center. They were useless even after numerous calls and waiting for an appt. Since we have another recliner we have ordered another switch just in case that one goes out. Update: Ordered two more of these switches. One went out a few days ago, but it lasted a long time and we use those recliners constantly. This time it was faster installing the switch since we had done it on both recliners in the past. I have the second switch if or when the other one stops working. Still like these switches and hope they will be available again if needed because those Flexsteel recliners still look and work like new after 9 years.

This part works great. It was not hard to install. Here is some hints. Take a few pictires of how the wires are attached to the frame. You will need to keep the wires away from the moving parts. The pics will help with attaching the wires after you install the switch. There is a cover over four screws that you will need to remove to pull the switch out of the sofa after you disconnect the wires and wire ties. Good Luck
