We do quite a few long haul flights for our holidays, and grew tired of the headphones given out by cabin crew; they're uncomfortable and you cannot hear the move/music over the general cabin noise.I wanted a way I can use my Apple AirPods Max to use on a flight. Step forward the Twelve South TS-2259. What an amazing little gadget!It works a treat, pairing is simple (best to test it at home before boarding the plane). You'll need to buy an adaptor that fits the dual 3.5mm plug on the plane, but that's it.I charged the device ahead of a recent 17 hour flight to Japan and it lasted for the whole journey.When researching these gadgets, I noticed people saying there was a lag between seeing people speak on the screen and hearing the sound. If this gadget has a lag, I didn't notice.I really can't praise it enough, it's small, holds a charge, is simple to use and even comes with it's own little carry case.One of the best things I have bought for a flight; allowing me to use my headphone's noise cancelling feature for 17 hours is the best ever!

This was so good I bought two more for my daughters! Really good idea that lets you pair your own headphones (which lets face it are so much more comfy than the ones you get on any aeroplane) with the inflight entertainment screen Charges quickly and kept going for the 10 hour flight with no problem. Be aware that for those in UK, these only work on long haul flights as shorter hauls don't tend to have any input socket on their screens.

This is a game changer in long haul flights. The sound quality is great and it connects first time easily.I had to use with the an adapter on my recent flight to Thailand, but it worked well. It’s a good size and charges quickly.The only downside side is that sometimes I had to turn it off and on again to do a reconnect if I took my headphones off to say go to the toilet on the flight. Not a big deal, but would be nice for it to stay connected.

I travelled from the UK to America with United and wasn’t sure if the in flight entertainment screens would be Bluetooth enabled or not. I always prefer to use my own headphones as they are vastly superior to the earbuds that airlines provide. I read conflicting reports on the availability of Bluetooth on United planes, so to hedge my bets I bought an AirFly. I’m very glad I did because when ny holiday finally rolled around, it turned out that neither of my United flights had Bluetooth. But thanks to the AirFly, all I had to do was plug it in and my headphones worked perfectly with the IFE. Connecting was simple, the sound quality was crystal clear, volume was nice and loud, and the battery lasted for the duration of my 11 hour flight and beyond.The AirFly isn’t cheap and I debated whether or not to buy it due to that, but I’m so glad I did because it solves the problem it’s designed to solve perfectly. Also it’s a one-time purchase that guarantees Bluetooth connectivity for every flight you take from now on, so when you consider it as a long term investment it’s really worth the price overall. The majority of planes still don’t have Bluetooth connectivity so it’s something I will use for a while to come.

Never fly without this! Great for long haul flights. No need those wires for noise canceling headphones. Easy to use. Remember to switch off when not use during the flight. Need to recharge after 5-7 hrs of continuous use (approx 2 movies).

Nice and neat, easy to pair, and initially worked well on a Virgin 787.Battery life showed no signs of failing after 14 hours.However.A few times it dropped just 1 airpod with heavy interference noise for one side only.Had to turn it off and on again.Now it’s started randomly muting the output, not a steady decrease, a full mute.Guess faulty…Whilst working, it worked great though, so really irritating.

Brilliant! Paired instantly with Apple AirPod Max and no delay with sound watching movies. Great piece of kit

Hat auf dem Langstreckenflug problemlos funktioniert und Akku hat lange gehalten. Habe es mit verschiedenen Bluetooth Kopfhörern ausprobiert: Sony und AirPods. Bin sehr zufrieden. Guter Sound, keine Verzögerung beim Filme schauen im Flugzeug

Très pratique pour utiliser mes écouteurs ou mon casque Bluetooth dans l’avion.La connexion est stable et l’appareil fonctionne comme prévu, rien à redire sur l’efficacité.Par contre, pour un usage ponctuel (on ne prend pas l’avion tous les jours), le prix est un peu élevé, j’ai eu la chance de l’acheter pendant une réduction.Malgré ça, je ne regrette pas : c’est un vrai confort en voyage.
