heavy duty
Serious stands for serious enthusiasts. These are heavy duty and very strong. Most importantly are the pads on the 3 feet which provide stability and distributes the weight more evenly which is good for my composite flooring. The legs are solid, the rods are solid and the pins are solid. 2 holes per stand allow for more height adjustments. The pins are held in place with sprung pins. The rods move up and down the shaft easily and quick without the pins. The rods appear anodized. The rubber pads are thick and removeable. Grooves in the pads help align pinch welds. The paint is thick so they should last without rusting. These are a bit more expensive but should last a very long time so its good value.

Safe solution for unibody cars!
Lifelong user of ratchet style jackstands here. You know the ones - thin stamped steel frame, contrasting color bars, and the knuckle-banger release. The ones made for frame rails and axles that dig into the pavement. Yep. Those ones. Those stands have no place near jacking pads, pinch welds, and unibody rails. They can be wobbly as hell, and has anybody really trusted them when that's the only thing between your wife and a life insurance payout? These, on the other hand, are stable and solid. The large triangulated pads don't dig into pavement, and don't feel like they could tip or bend. The flat pads on top are compatible with unibody rails and jacking pads, and I have used them with pinch weld adapters with no problem at all. Everything is thick steel, braced, welded, and just feels better and more secure. The low profile jacks fit easily under my Challenger, a Chrysler 200S, a Miata, and a Porsche 914. The lower settings were plenty to remove wheels, and the higher settings could get me under for oil changes. These aren't tall enough for trucks or my wife's SUV, but are plenty for basic maintenance on passenger cars. A few other reviews mentioned the play in the main bar and the sleeve with the pin installed. Yep. Does that with nothing on it. And it has to in order to make adjustments easier. But with the weight of a car on them, there is zero play or movement whatsoever. If you're really that worried about it, go buy a pin or bolt the exact size as the hole. Couldn't be happier with these. After only having these a few months, I am already more comfortable under these than I was with the ratchet-style. Yes, they are pricier than other styles, but worth every penny. And let's be honest - is this really where you want to cheap out? Caskets are expensive. These really are not.

Very solid. Thanks seller.
This low profile type, the stand very solid about 4.4kg per stand. 2nd step, height about 13 inches, suitable support for my sedan which is quite low. To compare my existing one much more secure and I have more confident to work underneath the car.

Expensive, but they work pretty well for a low profile car.
These worked pretty well for holding up the front of an old hot rod from under the frame. There aren't many options for jack stands that can go as low as these do. Not the most beautiful welds, but they seem very sturdy. The rubber pad is nice. These would also be nice as intermediate stands when you're jacking up a low profile car to hold it at a ~11" or 12" height first so that you can roll a larger jack under the car to lift it higher than that.
