Terrific hiking, disc golfing, all purpose shoe/boot
I have had these Hiking shoes for nearly two years now, worn in snow, soft sand, mud, occasional standing water, through the woods, and casual wear. I probably wear them 1-3 times a week, more often in the summer when I disc golf and hike, so two full summers now along with some winter wear. I have played several rounds of disc golf in these shoes which involves repeatedly scraping the soles on concrete tee pads, and I can confidently say these shoes, along with the soles, look almost brand new still. I have other shoes that have half the amount of disc golf use that are basically trashed from tee pads. So that speaks to the durability of the soles. They are comfortable, and they are 99% waterproof. Full on standing water will penetrate these shoes, barely, but beyond that these shoes will keep you 100% dry. Not to mention they are quite comfortable for several mile hikes through all terrains. They are moderately warm with the goretex material and significant padding, so expect your feet to be on the warmer side in the dead of summer, but I’ve never been truly uncomfortable in them. I highly recommend these shoes for just about any type of use.

Still good
The shoes are fantastic! They’re lightweight, supportive, and the Gore-Tex keeps my feet dry in wet or muddy conditions. The grip is excellent on trails, rocks, and even slippery paintball fields, while the mid-cut design gives just the right ankle support without feeling bulky. Super comfortable from the first wear and durable enough to handle both hiking and intense paintball games. Highly recommend for outdoor adventures of all kinds!

Amazing shoes, amazing travels
These are some of the best shoes I've ever worn. I traveled to Japan for 2 weeks with only these on my feet, hiking off road and miles of city walking and these held up fantastically and were very comfortable. The traction and grip on the treads is great and the fit was just about perfect, not to mention great value and design!

Comfortable, waterproof and durable
Favorite shoes for working and hiking. I work the AX3 for multiple years and was disappointed to see they discontinued them for a newer model. I gave the AX4 a try and they are better in most aspects. They feel lighter, slightly wider and significantly more comfortable. They only downside is the sole isn't as hard rubber and they do wear our quicker than previous versions. Gortex lining provides a true waterproof shoe without feeling hot and allowing your foot to breathe. Overall good value

Comfortable
I’m not an avid hiker but wanted these as I have pins in each hip and hiking in sneakers wasn’t sufficient. These were great in helping me keep my balance on the trail and provide the support I need. They are pretty lightweight and well made. My hips didn’t hurt like they normally do after a hike and they didn’t require “breaking them in”. Great and more stylish than other brands. Definitely recommend!

Great light-weight boots for hiking or wet
I got a pair of these boots on the recommendation of a friend after an uncomfortable, wet and cold disc golf tournament during the winter. These boots are great! I've taken them disc golfing in bad weather and my feet have been happy and dry while the boots are nice and light weight. I've also worn the boots hiking and they performed great on dirt and rocks. I like the ankle protection from having the high boot version of these boots. I ended up getting a pair of gators to keep out the leaves and sticks when I go back in the woods.

Trecking across Japan
I needed some shoes for a trip to Japan, where I knew I'd be doing a LOT of walking (40k steps a day I think?), but they needed to have some ankle support for walking around parks and temples. I've put an ungodly number of miles into various military boots while I was in. I know how to break in a pair of boots/shoes, how to watch for dangerous wear (that can lead to injury) and all of that. While these aren't full height boots, I'd say they pass the test. I broke them in on a treadmill, and then took them on my 2 week trip as my only shoes. Took them up to the top of the mountain at Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates) with no problems in sight. There was a slight issue with the way they fit my feet (a bit of pressure on one toe) but it never developed into a major problem. They are a tight fit around the ankle, so you won't be slipping them on hands-free, but that's a good thing. You need that support. I can't yet speak to their longevity, but I'm happy with them, especially for the price. Boots are a consumable. They won't last forever. If these fall apart sooner than expected, I'll update my review.
