Great quality finish and fit well.

We tried multiple configurations using with and without the additional hinges and this top would not fit our 1554. The drop in the back of the lid would not clear the back of the griddle. Using the holes in the griddle the back was 1.25" too short to clear (that was the method it was supposed to be mounted by.) Trying the different hinge extensions that were included the back was from 1/4" to 3/4" too long and once again the top would not clear far enough to open. The top is supposed to open to 90 degrees and the best we could get was about 40 to 45 degrees. Construction was nice it just would not fit.

Fits perfectly

Members Mark Griddle holes are too small to mount the lid directly to the griddle. I used the provided brackets and screws to attach the lid by removing the rear shelf hardware on both sides. This causes the shelves to sit at an angle and the lid does not fit perfectly in the front. You can work it in but it doesn’t close perfectly without a little wiggle. I plan to buy a 3/8” spacer and longer hardware to move the front side of the shelves out away from the griddle housing to even up the space from front to back as well as allowing the lid to close smoother. I will share some photos when it stops raining.The lid itself seems very durable, with a large handle and great value for the money. Some of these other lids on Amazon are outrageously priced.

It fits great and help to cook faster. Was a great purchase!

Bought this for my 36" Blackstone Griddle. Did not fit as described. Had to shim out the front part and replace the bolts that came with it with longer ones. But once that was done it seemed to do the job. Instructions were not the best, and had extra brackets that who knows what they would of been for. All and all I would recommend having a second person to help and it is not that lite and long to hold by yourself.

The lid attached to my 36-inch 1863 Blackstone without tools. It took minutes to install, and I only needed a screwdriver to attach the handle. This is how the Blackstone should have come in the first place. No more spilling the grease trap when removing or replacing the factory lid, and when I want to melt cheese on my burgers, I can just close the lid. No need for a dome. I would buy this again.
