Hunter Presto, Indoor, Ceiling Fan, No Light, Modern, 44 inch, Matte Black

The 44” fan is a nice little fan. It is very quiet but it is an electric motor so you do get a very light hum when it is running. Definitely will not disturb anyone sleeping. It does move a lot of air for the size. It works great at all speeds you desire helping my AC unit circulating the rooms air. As far as winter time the low setting is much too fast to be of any benefit. All you will notice is a cool breeze instead of an easy movement of air that you should not even feel.

This ceiling fan looks great and is super quiet, is heavy and very good quality. If you are looking for a ceiling fan with a modern look, this is the one. The matte black finish and design of this ceiling fan is everything I was looking for, at a super affordable price. The only downside to this fan is the blade installation. Everything was installing perfectly until it was time to install the blades. If you are following the manual, it will show that you install the blades once the fan is installed to the ceiling, but let me tell you, had my brother not been here to help me wire it up, I have no idea how I would have done it by myself, without unhooking everything and taking it down to install the blades. The problem is that the holes on the blades do not line up properly with the holes on the motor, so though you’ll be able to get one screw in you’ll have to apply a bit of pressure to get the other holes to line up to get the second screw in. Before realizing that, the screws were constantly falling out of the fan all the way to the floor causing one of us to go up and down the ladder. The problem there is that you’ll need another person to hold the motor to keep it from turning while you’re applying the pressure. So if you can, I’d suggest installing the blades first and then hanging it, if you don’t have another set of hands to help you. Other than that the fan is beautiful and we love it.

I paired this fan with a Lutron Caseta Smart Fan controller. I have four rooms in my home with this configuration. The combination provides a beautiful and highly functional fan with controls that rival most fans that are smart out of the box, in most cases for less money and better integration if you have already invested in any Caseta products.The Lutron Caseta fan controller requires an AC motor fan with old-school chain pull, 3-speed controls, or in this case, a wall control performing the same function. The wall control that comes with this fan is kind of laughable. It looks like something out of the 60s with a big chunky knob sticking an inch out of the controller. Unless you're okay with that look, I would highly recommend seeking an alternative like the Caseta or Lutron's Maestro controller if you don't need smart controls.The combination of no light or pull chains make this a very clean design. I'm no interior designer, but I really appreciate the aesthetic and how it seems to ride a line between vintage and modern.My one issue with this fan is that two of the four I received I thought were initially malfunctioning out of the box. They would only run at the highest speed, and even then not very fast. It turned out the cover that goes on the bottom of the fan was touching and pressed up against the motor spindle creating drag. I remedied this by placing the cover face down in the packing foam the fan motor came in giving the center several good whacks with a dead blow mallet. Maybe a little extreme, but it beat taking down and returning the whole fan for something so simple.This is my only reason for taking off a star -- quality control. Be sure to check this if you see a similar problem with yours when installing. If you take off the bottom cover and it runs perfectly fine, you have the same issue I did.

We wanted a fan for our main living area, which has a number of can lights, so didn't want a light kit on the fan. This fits the bill nicely. It was very easy to install (since it has a rotary wall switch, there is no remote antenna and the wiring is very simple); also, with only 3 blades, that much easier and quicker to install. It's very quiet, but produces nice airflow at 3 levels of speed. We find that level 1 is where we keep it at almost all the time, but I can see turning it up when summer arrives. The switch to flip from winter to summer mode is easily accessible. I liked it enough to order a second one for another room in the house.

This Hunter Fan Presto Ceiling Fan is fantastic and really cools my room effectively. The matte black finish looks sleek and modern, adding a nice touch to the decor. What attracted me the most was the non-remote option. With so many remotes for the TV, sound system, lights, etc., it's a relief not to worry about losing another remote or having something my child could play with by accident.Installation was straightforward, even in my vaulted ceiling. So far, it's working perfectly, and I hope it stays that way, so I never have to replace it. I'll give it 5 stars and will update my review if I encounter any quality issues in the future.

This is a nice ceiling fan, however, be aware if its going in your room it may be too fast even on the slow setting. I like the clean look, I've had it for almost 4 years and it works I just wish we could slow it down a little.

Fan is “solid” and is of very high-quality. It’s also very quiet. Was easy to install and looks fantastic.

I have purchased 2 of these fans already and just ordered another one. I was pleasantly surprised how great they are. Its hard to find a good looking fan without a light that is also reasonably priced. Its very quiet, and provides great airflow that can be felt a great distance from the actual fan. I had never installed a ceiling fan prior to these and it was very easy to do. The only negative if you can call it that is the control dial, it looks cheap but functions well. I highly recommend this product and the company I ordered from is great too!

The fan looked as it should when installed. Installation was ok seemed a bit more complicated than it should have been. The problem we have is the fan stopped working and Hunter Fans has been saying since December 2022 that they would replace it and still to this date (April 2023) no replacement arrived. They say they shipped the replacement but can't provide a tracking number or the name of the shipper they used. They also said it would take up to 8 weeks. WTF shipping company they using?? Amazon can deliver it within 5 days! Keep shopping around and find a better deal.
