Good gift but seemingly very fragile and hands have a burnt metallic smell after touching it.
I got this as a gift for my toddler to introduce him to science and captivate his imagination. I played with something similar as a kid. However this is different, the glass is extremely thin. I’m hesitant to leave it on much longer than a few minutes because it heats up and my hands get a burnt metallic smell when I touch it. It’s also shocked me lightly. I’m afraid it’s going to overheat and burst. I genuinely don’t feel safe leaving my toddler to play with it. Not that it’s done anything wrong, I just get the vibe it would break easily if not treated extremely fragile. The center coil is kind of lop-sided which adds to the fragile appearance. Overall he loves it and it works as advertised minus the metallic smell.

Cute and fun
This is a very cute little plasma light. It is pretty small but still entertaining and fun to look at. My toddler loves it but I would not recommend to young kids because it is glass. The item quality is good, it doesn’t feel cheap.

Favorite birthday gift for my 12 year old!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: My daughter wanted one of these for her birthday and the regular sized ones seemed pricey. We came across this miniature version of the classic and she instantly decided it would be worth the money. She was right! And she loves it. Bright and beautiful, but not huge to take up tons of space. We’ve been using batteries but it also came with a USBC cord. Fun 12th birthday present!!

Electric fun!
This was an absolute HIT at our house. Adults and kids alike enjoyed watching it work! It is a great size and literally just plug and play! The 6" plasma ball light is a plug vs USB like the heart, but overall, would purchase again. Fun decor!

Fun and pretty

Its broken
Yeah... well it came it came in 2 pieces. The globe was separated from the base. I popped it back on. No big deal, its a sealed glass globe... less than a minute plugged in, power cord starts flashing the blue led and it cycles on and off fairly quick. Kinda bummed. Don't know how to fix it even if I could. Didnt expect the plasma globe equivalent of a dim strobe light. Really wished it worked out of the box.
