The Killifish Encyclopedia: Basic Care and Breeding: Volume 1 (Anthology of Killifish)

The worst book I have read for omissions, typos and layout errors for years and it can't be blamed on a translation as it is American. You can barely find a page without one or more errors. It was obviously never proof read. It is a shame because if you have the patience to pick through it the information is good but basic and the pictures are nice. It is supposed to be number one in a series but I hope they employ a decent proof reader next time. How does a book this bad make it into print?

Volume 1 of a new multivolume set. I enjoyed it,learned lots of new info and will be waiting for the other volumes so that I can add them to my library.

I love books & always have. It depends on the subject but nowadays with a little digging on the internet your gonna get the same information & better quality pictures than what this book has to offer. If your a dedicated Killifish person than I'm sure you'd be happy adding this to your collection but for people casually interested I'd just recommend digging around on the internet.

nice book, written at an introductory level (ok, high school fish-geek level is about right), maybe a little too beginner-ish for an experienced aquarist just switching to killies but lots of nice pics. i was hoping for more info on the different kinds but i guess this is the "intro to" volume in a series. i guess i'll have to wait for the next installment, which i will buy. i plan on getting the whole set.
