Sennheiser BTD 600 Bluetooth Dongle - USB-A/USB-C Adapter with AptX Audio Codecs for Stable, Sound - Listen to Music, Make Calls, and Watch Videos, Black

Initially I was unimpressed with this dongle, in AptX Adaptive mode the audio had crackling and popping artifacts. However after a brief Google search, I found out there was a firmware update available via senhieser's website (it's on the product page). You just update it by plugging your dongle into either a Mac or PC via USB. Opening the update utility and wait for the update to complete. Now after the update (v1.22) I can say the audio quality is flawless and outstanding and i'd highly recommend the dongle to anyone looking for high quality AptX Adaptive/Lossless Bluetooth audio. The device is easy to pair to headphones, just click the button on the base of the device and put your headphones in pairing mode. It's compatible with a wide range of audio codecs within the AptX lineup and basic AAC, it works with my Android Phone (Pixel 9 Pro Fold), my iPhone (16 Pro Max), my Mac (M4 MacBook Pro), and my PC (MSI Titan 18HX). Tested using my Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Headphones via the AptX Adaptive codec. It functions flawlessly after the update. And is very compact and well designed. Again the audio quality is the best I've ever experienced without a cable, and basically as good as it gets in terms of wireless audio full stop, with full 24 Bit 96KHz Hi-Res audio support via AptX Adaptive. And again don't forget to make sure the first thing you do is update the dongle via a computer and don't judge it until you have updated it. (I had doubts and thought about returning it prior to the update).

I have Bang and Olufsen H95 headphones which sound good over standard Bluetooth but to make the most of their sound quality, they require an AptX adaptive Bluetooth connection, which is not available via my MacBook Pro or iPad Pro. I currently use a Creative BT-W5 Bluetooth dongle but have become increasingly frustrated by the frequent snap, crackle and pops whilst listening to my my headphones. I want to enjoy listening to music, not a bowl of Rice Crispies! The BTD 600 comes with a Quick Start leaflet, with a more comprehensive manual illustrated with photographs downloadable from the Sennheiser Hearing website. The BTD 600 worked perfectly straight out of the box. I put my H95s into Bluetooth pairing mode, pressed the dongle’s button for 3 seconds to put it into its pairing mode and after a few seconds of displaying an alternating red and blue light, my headphones were connected. The dongle LED showed a pink colour, which indicated that the AptX codec was being used for Audio Coding. So far, so good. I am pleased to say that this has solved the problem with no further crackles or pops, making my music listening experience far more pleasurable. I was also pleased to find that the sound volume through my H95 is higher than through the creative, which gives me more control. The sound quality is excellent, making me feel involved with music of all genres. This dongle is an essential purchase for anyone in the Apple ecosystem who wishes to obtain optimum sound quality from their AptX Adaptive audio devices.

A good quality adapter! Stable connection. With the lastest update it started support aptX Adaptive HQ 24bit/96kHz ! Perfect stable connection and best sound quality with my Momentum 4! Information about this and another changes is almost impossible to find on the official website. (Please Sennheiser fix this, add more information to your site and in the description) On a computer works without problems, but on all Android devices: my tablet, phone and Chromecast 4K, changing the volume through headphones does not work properly. The volume can be increased or decreased only by the buttons on the phone or tablet. And when you do this with the buttons on the headset, only the volume decrease works. Tried with three different headphones and on different Android devices, but the problem repeats! On Windows and Mac, everything works fine. Returned it back because I was planning to use this dongle with my Chromecast TV.

Unter Win11 klangen meine Sony 1000xm3 einfach mies. Irgendwas fehlte. Sehr ungewohnt, weil die Kopfhörer trotz Vor-Vor-Generation noch richtig super sind. An meinem Handy sind die klasse. Aber am PC echt mau. Nach ein bisschen googlen stieß ich auf den aptX codec, der wohl sonst unterstützt wurde, aber seit win11 eben nicht mehr. Viele nutzen den wohl gar nicht mehr. Diese Kopfhörer haben diesen Codec noch. Und der Sennheiser Stick bringt den mit. Also irgendwie logisch, dass man da mal ansetzen kann. Ausprobieren! Angeschlossen, sofort erkannt. Leuchtet weiß. Ganz ok. Schnell da. Keine Probleme. Ich kann also nicht sagen, dass ich Schwierigkeiten mit dem Verbinden hatte. Aber das Ding hat nicht Pink geleuchtet, was bedeutet, dass der Codec aktiv ist. Mit dem Handy verbunden, in die Sony App gegangen und in den Einstellungen auf "Priorität auf Klang" geschaltet. Das hat wohl nicht nur Einfluss auf die Verbindung zum Handy, denn siehe da: der Dongle leuchtet Pink. Und damit konnte ich alle "Soundverbesserungen" unter Windows und Spotify, die als Krücke dienten, deaktivieren, und habe eine deutlich besseres Ergebnis. Endlich klingt es nicht mehr nach Blechdose und irgendwie hohl oder entfernt. Auch sind die Kopfhörer deutlich lauter geworden. Der Kopfhörer verbindet sich sofort mit dem Dongle, wenn ich ihn wieder einschalte. NUR, muss ich in Windows den Audioausgang, unten links, manuell einstellen. Von Lautsprecher auf BTD600. Ja, das ging vorher vollautomatisch. Aber Windows erkennt den Dongle hier nicht automatisch als Ausgang sondern als eigenes Gerät. Bluetooth kann man unter Win11 dann auch ausschalten, weil der das nicht über den Dongle erkennt. Hat man einen zweiten "normalen" Dongle dran, dann wohl besser anlassen für die BT Umgebung. Bin damit sehr zufrieden, weil der Klang deutlich besser ist. Preis/Leistung ist ok, weil es einfach endlich funktioniert. Muss man halt wissen, weil man für ca. 1/3 des Preises einen BT Dongle bekommt. Also erstmal schauen, ob man diese Zusatzleistung benötigt. In meinem Fall hat aptX für einen echten Qualitätsanstieg gesorgt. Im "Normalbetrieb", wenn die LED weiß leuchtet, ist der Dongle stabil, aber eben auch nur ein gesonderter Audioausgang, den man dann wohl einstellen muss. Verbindung ist aber stabil und schnell.

I owned a Bluetooth headset from Sennheiser (Bt450) and with the smartphone are a joy. Because of silly restrictions i can't use my built in bluetooth to connect it with my work laptop. Such a shame that I couldn't enjoy all the cool stuff this headset can do because of the restrictions. I also owned a Bluetooth headset whose dongle was a danger to carry around because of its size and qualitywise less enjoyable than my bt450 "If I only had the dongle recognized as headset from Sennheiser i would make 3 devices in the house/office redundant" This tiny dongle does it. In a brilliant way. Is simpler than I thought could be, the pairing process is even more straightforward as it has a lovely button On Off in its head: minimalist and cool looking. Excellent sound transmission. Now i can be connected simultaneously with the phone and the work pc. Best money spent.

The sound was really good, setup was quick. Connection reliable. Worked for 9 months and is now broken. It just appears and disappears from USB every few minutes or so. Wish I could get a new one, not sure if I want to pay for it.

これ通すと音質は最高で、BOSEやソニーの同価格帯ライバルがいる中でゼンハイザーを使う理由にもなってます。 接続面はやや工夫が必要で(特にPC環境)、調子悪くて繋がらない時は一度ケースにしまったりPC側の音声出力を一度イヤホンでなくしたりしてリセットする必要があります。色々やってると繋がってその後は安定します。 携帯(iPhone)ではBluetooth接続をオフにしないと繋がらないのでご注意下さい。ゼンハイザーアプリも使えません。その代わり音質は素晴らしいです。 ビルエヴァンスのようなピアノトリオもクリアに青白い炎のように美しく聴けます。
