I’ve owned and used various automotive scanners and programmers over the years, but most of my experience had been with Chevrolet and Japanese vehicles. I recently moved into Ford diagnostics and needed an inexpensive, reliable adapter that would work seamlessly with FORScan for feature programming and upgrades on a 2018 Ford F-150. The Vgate vLinker worked perfectly with FORScan. I was able to quickly connect, download and back up the vehicle’s existing configuration for safekeeping, make coding changes, and then reload the updated configuration back into the truck without any problems. That backup capability alone adds a lot of confidence when making changes. Since then, I’ve used this adapter at least a half dozen times diagnosing and working on Ford vehicles for friends and family, and it has been consistently reliable. Highly recommend for forscan!!! Amazing quality and stable!!!

I bought this to program and tune a new transmission control module with Forscan. It worked great. There's a little bit of learning curve, it's not plug and play, if your program doesn't already natively support it you need to download and install drivers, but beyond that it's perfect. Forscan can be a bit picky with cables, but this one worked perfectly and got me back on the road with no issues and saved me a grand having a dealer do it.

Bought this after I bought what I thought was the right one but since ive had this OBD2 its actually recommended if you use forscan. I would highly recommend this product and im very pleased with the ease of use. But if you have tje extra cash id buy a Bluetooth one also because you can add forscan to your cellphone. And if you have something to do on the fly then its not a cumbersome as having to worry about having a cable around your feet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 100%
