Ariete Filter Coffee Maker, Cream

We have had this for 4months+ and we LOVE it. Really easy to use, beautiful coffee brewed (though of course this depends on the beans too!!), long keep-warm function, looks beautiful, no issues whatsoever with its functionality. Colour-wise - it is greige rather than beige or cream.

Pleased with this. Cheaper than a Morphy Richards which is very similar. Easy to use once set to how you like your coffee and gives a nice rounded flavour.

Compact, clear controls and makes a good filter-style coffee. Unusually, the coffee basket is flat-bottomed rather than conical but it will still take a 1x4 filter paper which I prefer to use, instead of the basket alone, because it simplifies disposal of the grounds. Don't buy it to match your cream toaster though: the inside of the machine is off-white and the coloured side panels, which is really what you see, are beige/light green .

Arrived promptly. Looks amazing - very retro. Colour is a more dark grey/cream than beige. The machine is easy to set up and the instructions are very clear. I use the timer feature which is really convenient - hot coffee first thing in the morning. You can also select the strength of your brew. The only slight downside is that the hotplate doesn't keep the coffee hot for a very long time, maybe 15mins - the instruction manual does highlight this and gives dire warning on the effect of keeping fresh coffee warm for too long (Don't even consider microwaving it - evidently bad things may happen) The tank is easy to fill and has clear markings. Coffee takes a few minutes to brew and the machine is very quiet when in use. The plug is an EU two pin type but I picked up an adaptor easily.

Initially this Coffee machine was great, after a while it started leaking Coffee grounds into the pot while brewing. It is difficult to maintain and clean and not friendly to use. Returned for a refund under warranty.

Bought as a gift. So unable to review. Product looks good and was packaged well, delivered on time.

Love this machine , easy to use , lovely colour ,easy to clean love how you can set it up at night to come on in morning ,very functional , good value for money .

Ich bin diesmal vom Design verführt worden und habe mir diese wunderschöne Kaffeemaschine innerhalb den Prime Aktionstagen gekauft. Die obere hochglänzende Abdeckung und das Bedienfeld haben eine metallische Oberfläche, sowie rechts und links von der Maschine sind die Seiten ebenso aus lackiertem Metall, das Innenleben ist vorwiegend aus Kunststoff., ..erinnert an einen kleinen Vintage Kühlschrank. Die Glaskanne fasst ca 12 Tassen, etwa 1,8 l maximal. Ich habe auch schon mal den ersten Kaffee gebrüht: bei ca. 8 Tassen ca. 4 gehäufte Kaffeelöffel auf Stufe "stark", für mich genau richtig, da ich sonst immer selber mit Porzellanfilter aufgebrüht hatte...und der Kaffee schmeckte wirklich sehr gut, war genauso wie der "selbst gebrühte" - ist dann auch bequemer im Gebrauch, statt selber brühen, wenn mal Besuch zum Kaffee kommt. Natürlich hat jeder seine individuellen Kaffeegeschmacksvorlieben. Wer das Einstellen der Automatik nicht möchte...einfach nach dem Einstellen der gewünschten Kafffestärke nur den Knopf mit dem Tassensymbol drücken und schon gehts los. Man muss die Uhr der Automatik nicht unbedingt einstellen. Die Reinigung ist einfach, am Besten gleich nach dem Kaffeegenuss sauber machen, dann trocknet nichts ein. Die Farbe außen ist ein etwas dunkleres Beige, dachte schon, da sei ein leichter Grünton dabei, gefällt mir aber super so. Bin soweit sehr erfreut, hoffe sie hält recht lange, sowie auch das hübsche Aussehen!
