This is just what I was looking for. My CPAP runs twice as long with my battery backup. On DC than on AC.

It works! I can Camp again!
I tried making my own 12 plug for my cpap but unfortunately all the local electronic hobby stores have closed down and ordering a resister off the internet to match the reference voltage for the cpap to work was a third of the price of just buying a 12 volt plug for it. I'm real happy to get to camp with my dreamstation. I bought it the $31.69 price because it said original equipment or something along those lines in the post and didn't want to risk a knockoff not having the proper voltage and the machine not turning on. I'm talking about "the DC port on these devices require a proprietary signal in order to recognize a valid power source;" I'm calling it a power supply interlock, not sure of the real name. I don't know if they are looking out for us because the device is delicate and the filter things on the power cord are super necessary or if they just want to get more money from us. Either way I'm just going to run this thing off of a car battery for now. I would like to find a more compact power source but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend hundreds of dollars on that. A friend of mine who designs Lithium ion batteries professionally build his own power supply and got it certified for airline travel. My plan for now it beg him to give me the hook up and teach me how to make one. I guess I'll be car camping or short walk in distances where I can bring my car battery in with a wagon for now. Last time I went camping and my home made cord didn't work for me I wound up running the generator all night. If just seems so wasteful, no more of that hopefully. If you buy one enjoy your new freedom I know I will try to.

Runs you cpap
Works great. I use it when tent camping. It fits the dream station 2. Don’t expect for it to fit under your cpap as the ferrites are to close to the plug
